After research about improving balance, I purchased these shoes and have found them to significantly improve my balance - took a little time for the body to adjust it's mechanics to the zero fall. After a month they are doing a superb job and as a wonderful 'extra', back pain I have lived with for a long while has disappeared.!

Love these Lems Primal 2 Eclipse, Lems shoes are the greatest and are really good quality, well made and comfortable and I can wear them all day with no problem at all and I also do power walking in them for several kilometers, they are great for my feet and they allow me to walk nice and fast to get the heart rate up and exercise, they are also great for just general walking, standing sitting and what ever you want to do apart from getting them too wet or going up very rough rocky trails which then you need the Lems hiking boots. Highly recommend Lems shoes!

I have achillies tendonitis and planta fasciitis, plus a high arch. I was advised to have a heel raise, which ultimately threw my lower back out and made the Achillies Tendonitis worse when I took off the shoes, and very firm inner soles, which hurt my feet. What also happened was my feet felt squashed from the top and aggrevated the arthritis in the top of my foot. These have been a game changer. I don't have the lower back pain, I feel like I am walking normally and no foot pain from tight, constricting shoes. My Achillies Tendonitis lumps have gone away and no more pain.

This is a review for the Lems Primal 2. I was in between sizes (my usual shoe size is 11.5), and after reading several online reviews to decide whether to size up or down, I ended up ordering Size 11 of the Lems Primal 2. The shoe was a near-perfect fit in all aspects EXCEPT for the fact that my big toe was touching the end of the shoe when walking. I was concerned this might be an issue on longer walks, and so I decided to exchange for a Size 12. To my surprise, the Size 12 was still a great fit but now my big toe didn't touch the end, so my advice would be to size up if you are in between sizes. I did find that on my right foot, the back of the shoe rubbed uncomfortably against the top of my heel, but this was fixed by either wearing thicker socks or using a heel cushion.
I've been walking in these shoes pretty much every day since I've got them (~3wks now), and so far they've been great!

So i'm a bit of a Lems fanboy. My favourite boots of all time are the weather proof, leather boulder boots.
I like my runners to be a darker colour but with a white sole. these fit the bill perfectly and look awesome. Great to have minimalist shoes that don't look weird - part of why I love Lems so much.
These are super comfy and stylish, what's not to love?

Shoes are great, I had a pair of the green ones which lasted a little over a year with daily active use. I do take the soles out for a little extra width as I have quite wide feet, and I do enjoy the feeling of a solid heel strike (as if barefoot).

After treatment and recovery from cancer treatment and stem cell transplant My husband has not worn shoes for 6-9 months and found putting on shoes for Drs. Appointments uncomfortable. I have been wearing the barefoot shoes for quite a while and suggested he try a pair. He has found them to be very comfortable and easy to exercise in when visiting Physiotherapist. My toe splay is the widest part of my feet. These are the only shoes I can find that are comfortable. This is my 8th pair. I wish Lems made the same shoes in a waterproof version and with soles that are good good for running in mud.

These were the third pair of Primal 2 I bought over about 3 weeks. I would have had them earlier but they were out of stock. If you have wide feet, I am 4E in Brooks and New Balance, these are perfect. However, because of the type of construction of the barefoot show they will also fit perfectly for standard shoe with people. A friend of mine is 9.5 US in Brooks Ghost 14 and New Balance 880 V11 but standard width and the Primal 2 are a perfect for him. These barefoot shoes (also the same with Freet) seem to wrap around.
Lots of people see me as a sneaker nut and maybe that is true but I can tell you the Primal 2 are the best shoes I have had and that is straight from the box

The shoes are very comfortable without toe spacers and very light. They make me feel very ‘light on my feet’. They also look good and I had one compliment on them the very first time I wore them. I will have to get at least one size larger to be able to wear my toe spacers though.

I'll probably get there same shoes for a third time. They don't last that long but I'm on concrete all the time so I guess it's to be expected.

These are seriously the most comfortable sneakers I have ever worn. I've been wearing minimalist footwear for nearly a year but realised I need slightly more padding due to inflammatory arthritis. These are a perfect compromise for me. A little more padding, but light, wide toe box and zero drop. Now if only Lems made a cute ballet flat... Only had 2 days so can't comment on durability.

Be wary if you have bunions. These shoes have great width but not enough height which means they press down on my bunion. After wearing them for a day at work I was limping and very sore.

I'm so happy I got these! I actually found Correct Toes first which led me to Lems and I couldn't be happier. I'm getting into the minimalist shoe movement full force. I'm a massage therapist so I'm constantly on my feet and these shoes have been serving me well for the last 4 months. I think my feet are still adapting- I do get some calluses but it's hard to say if that's the shoe or the adjusting of my toes with CTs. My toes feel free and easy though. I like them so much I just purchased a Boulder boot for hiking.

This is my second pair of Primal2s. I wore my old ones out because they are my preferred footwear. My feet are "happiest" in my Lems, next to barefoot. And I have people tell me "Cute shoes! Where did you get those?" I am sure-footed in my Lems. I KNOW where I'm putting my feet. I had trouble with plantar fasciitis. That's when I switched to Lems and it went away and hasn't returned. Love, love, LOVE my Primal 2 Lems. I didn't even hesitate when it came time to replace them.

By far one of the best shoes, I have worn, feel like I am grabbing the earth with my toes, I have high arches and a war injuries to my ankles/feet, this actually help my feet feel better vs more expensive padded models. I bought these shoes right before my trip to China since we were going to do a lot of walking. We walked around the Great Wall, up a mountain and around lakes and these shoes were really amazing. They were very comfortable but allowed me to use my intrinsic foot muscles the way they should be used during walking! The wide toe box was really great for me because I have bunions on both feet so they were never sore afterwards. They were really light and comfortable even though I was hiking maybe 3-5km per day. I like them a lot because I am able to see where in my gait I'm actually compensating and trying to fix it at the same time.

I was a bit worried if I would get the right fit online, especially as it's not the size I normally purchase but it turned out fantastic in the end. Super light shoes, super comfortable to wear, thick soles so great for everyday use in the city. Only downside I can think of is that the shoe strings are a bit shorter than my preference. I can barely tie them together. I've been wearing almost exclusively barefoot shoes since Oct 2014 and I learnt the hard way to look for shoes with thicker soles after getting chronic pain in my feet. This pair is fantastic for starting with barefoot. I'm quite happy with my purchase and I would definitely recommend Lems Shoes to friends who want to go into barefoot.

I enjoy wearing Lems shoes. The minimal construction and appropriate toe-box width don't constrict my feet as most other conventional shoes have. My feet have strengthened and widened significantly since I started wearing Lems regularly. Thus, I've had to purchase a larger size within just a few months. Had I anticipated this expansion and welcomed relief, I would've initially ordered a larger pair. Additionally, they are very light, comfortable and conservative in appearance. Thank you, Lems.

I am not a shoe person. In fact, my sandals and snow boots were gifts and the last time I purchased shoes was years ago when they were on clearance and I thought it was a good idea to have on hand. Recently I started hiking more and I could no longer wear flip flops with all the loose leaf on the ground and wearing a 14kg toddler on my back. I started to do research and every comparison and review I read put Lems first. I was extremely hesitant to buy them. I have no sizing experience since I don't buy shows and I just don't line them in general. I finally decided to just go with it and buy them. I am so glad I did. My feet get squished in traditional shoes since I have worn sandals for the last 15 years at least. They're very comfortable and flexible. I can still feel the ground, though for me it still very much feels like a shoe, my partner got a pair as well and he always wears shoes and he says they're super thin and he feels everything. He loves them as well and is excited to wear them! Absolutely worth the investment. Healthy shoes that protect my feet... and a huge bonus is that we're supporting a small company that cares about its product and customers.

I have bunions which seem to be causing other issues with my feet, especially when taking 6-mile a day walks. These shoes made a real difference. They leave lots of room in the toe box for my toes to wiggle around. No painful rubbing around the heels. And my arch is supported enough so that pronation is no longer a problem. Finished my walk today with energy to spare, and no painful toes.

I love my Eclipse Primal 2's as they are so comfortable. They could use a little more structure at the heel to prevent rubbing. And while I love the blue, I wish the shoe were more subtle. Instead of the white highlights and bright white sole, I would prefer something like the Slate except blue. Hope you will consider it!

As casual shoes they are just fantastic. I have read that some even run in them, which I personally think works alright, but there are better shoes for this if you ask me. If you are new to forefoot running, so I can imagine that they can be a great first shoes because of the soft thick sole. Ordered a size too small at first, that I gave to my dad, who was totally against zero-drop shoes. Now he completely reversed :)

I love these shoes! Primal 2. They are shaped the same way my foot is shaped! I recently developed a bunion so was looking for a shoe with a wide toe box, but still a narrow heel. Lems shoes are perfect. I own these shoes and also the Boulder Boots. They are equally comfortable and cute. I have always needed a very good arch support since my feet pronate and I have collapsing arches. Since Lems shoes do not have an arch support, I figured I would buy the shoes and add my own arch support insole. I'm not exactly sure why, but I don't need an arch support in these shoes! I'm amazed! I love these shoes!

Finally purchased the Primal 2; I currently own the Boulder Boot, 2 pairs of Mariners, and Sweet Janes. I love all my Lems and these definitely fall at the top of the list of favorite. Super comfortable, wide toe box, zero drop, and just an all around good looking shoe. This is a great casual shoe that I wear around when I'm not in my Mariners. Love the durability of these shoes too. Seriously, Lems are pretty much the best shoe. You should definitely invest, like now! :)

This is likely the lightest and most comfortable shoe I've ever owned. I ordered according to the sizing chart and at first, the shoe felt tight. Over the past 3 weeks they seem to have stretched and conformed to my feet. I needed a shoe with a thin sole that I could coach CrossFit classes and workout in and would still feel great on my feet at the end of the day. This is that shoe.

I absolutely love my Primal Lems, hands down the most enjoyable shoe I have ever worn. I spend most of my days sitting in front of a computer in a work environment where we are encouraged to kick off our shoes. I remember the days where it was so nice to kick my shoes off when I got into the office... since purchasing the Primal Lems I have not taken my shoes off at work. There is no constraint on my toes so it really feels like I am not wearing shoes at all! LOVE! I liked these shoes so much I purchases another pair so I could have a different color. All of my casual shoes (aside from my dress shoes) have been removed from my rotation. I would highly recommend giving these shoes a chance. I currently wear them when I go walking around the neighborhood/city sidewalks. I will update my review after I have taken them into an outdoor environment to see how they hold up. I've used these for a few trips where I would walk around cities for at least 8 hours a day. I found them to be very comfortable, and look good with both shorts and jeans. My only suggestion is that the logo should be same colour tone as the shoe, as opposed to white, which stands out too much for my liking. A similar, understated blue would be my preference, or even no side logo.

I ordered my first pair of Lems (Primal 2) in early 2013 to wear as work shoes. I work at a hotel, so 6+ hours on your feet, going up and down stairs, kneeling, etc, 5 days a week is what I've put these shoes through since then. Amazingly, aside from a little scuffing on the front of the shoe, cosmetically, they look as good as when I bought them. Only recently did I have to change out the insole/lining because my heels had worn through. But Lems says themselves that they are removable and optional anyways. I hate 'claustrophobic' shoes that squeeze the toes and strap the foot in with excessive padding and arch support, and these are so much more comfortable anyways! Now that I'm so used to these shoes, I won't wear any closed shoe other than them. I just ordered my second pair in slate grey, and I'm so excited for them to arrive! My husband and I also both have pairs of the Boulder Boot, which we love for hiking, and he likes to wear them to work too where he is on his feet 8 hours a day. We got those in late 2013, and they look as good as new too. These are exceptional quality shoes, and definitely worth the investment.

I've been a minimalist shoe wearer for many years, with my preference being handmade, single-piece-of-leather-soled moccasins for every day wear and Fivefingers for working out/hiking. I'd been pining after these shoes for a year, but found it hard to justify given how many pairs of shoes I already had ( I'm a girl, can't help it). Well, I broke my toe, and with being taped up, my Fivefingers were out. I finally had a reason to purchase these, and so glad I did. They're great for hiking, running with the dogs, and rainy weather errands where my trusty mocs would just get soaked at the sole. The wide toe box accommodated swelling of my broken toe as well. Plus, they're cute enough that I see myself using them for many purposes, like tailgating this fall and general casual wear. I'm very pleased with my purchase.

I bought the size 37 for my 8 year old who measures a 3 1/2 and wears a size 4 shoe. The 37 fits perfectly barefoot and he loves how comfortable they are! The only thing is they don't have much room for growth and so I am returning and sizing up to 38.

Primal 2 Eclipse, size 41 (9). Preferred the old model. New model- Toe box narrower causing jamming. Large stamped on label tacky. In brown, color darker, threading darker, faux leather replaced by faux suede throughout- looks cheap. Defect in the new pair- where sole meets shoe, missing thread?? All in all, great shoe but not as great as the old model.

They are good looking and seem to be made quite well. I only mark this 4 because the website could offer a little more sizing advice for oddballs like myself. I have a wide foot and am starting to get bunions. That is why I became interested in this shoe. I normally wear a USA womens size 6 wide. I ordered my Lems in a size size 7 since they dont offer a 6.5. I am bummed that the seven was way, too big. Sadly I have to exchange my beautiful new Lems for a smaller size shoe.
