Insanely comfortable from the first wear, and very stylish - I get alot of compliments. Will definitely be buying more pairs in different styles

I have been hiking in my new boot on rocky terrain having done about 30 kms so far. They are so comfortable! I feel I have very good balance and grip in them and they feel so much better than the heavier boots I always had in the past. Both my husband and I have a pair of these boots and love them.
Travis Taylor
These are hell comfortable, super light, way less foot pain coming off redback boots which are actually comfy but aggrevate plantar fascia so I'm happy with these all day on my feet.

Haven't had the chance to wear them as much as I'd like to but so far so good, these boots are so comfortable to have on. I'm usually a size 7.5 U.S in normal shoes, but i bought them in 8.5 and the Primal 2 in size 8 ( all thanks to Faye) and they both fit me almost perfectly.
Cant wait to wear them everyday from now on.

I already had a leather pair of Boulder Boots that were just the right fit, I sized up for the canvas ones and the fit is great. They arrived on time and the help from the people at bprimal was brilliant. I know where I will be ordering my Lems from now on.

Got the Timber Boulder boot and i absolutely love the look of it. Looks just like the pictures. Very comfy and very warm. I originally ordered a size smaller (44) because i am used to buying boots at least a size down (i have red wings that are 9's). I had to return them and get a 45 which is what i normally get in athletic shoes. I have skinny narrow flat feet and these look great and are already helping me with posture.
Charlie
Still breaking in the top of the boot a little bit. With a pair of wool socks these and like walking on clouds. Still getting used to the feel - these are my first minimal shoes.

These are amazing boots. I can see mysel buying these over and over again when they wear out. I love everything about them and wear them for everything!

These boots are simply amazing. I've had mine for a few months now and the look and feel great. Took no time to break in. The boot size is just right, not tight at all, with a lot of wiggle room for the toes. It was sweet that they came with two sets of laces...I went witht the gold one to the dissent of my teenage daughter. The boots themselves are eye catching...constantly get complements on them. Also made Lemers out of my coworkers because of them. So between these boots and the Priman 2's, I'm set with Lems, and so should you.
Tyler
I bought these boots just before leaving on a 3 month long back packing trip around the world. I love the boot's versatility and packing efficiency. In reality I could have only packed these boots and no other shoes. I have been very pleased with the boots in the alps and as a casual stylish boot for the city. This is the only boot you need!
Youri Lapshin
Lems, I'm in trouble because of you! I can't put on my dress shoes in office anymore because Boulder Boot is so good. Now I HAVE to buy nine2five! You robbing me! On more serious note, those are lightweight, minimalistic and surprisingly warm boots with cool looks attached Ability to Correct Toes inside is also extremely valuable for my feets (not so flat anymore actually). I will update if my feet survive russian winter in those boots =)
Blake
These boots are incredible! I love how different they are from other shoes. They are wider and more comfortable, as well as, stylish and well made. I've worn them almost every day!
Erin
The only disappointment I feel is in the fact that I can't rate these boots higher than 5 stars. I had my eye on the Boulder Boot for over a year but was wary about ordering online, as I am about shoes in general; I hemmed and hawed about whether or not to splurge on more shoes. If you are having this internal struggle, as I did, let it go and get these boots. They've already become my favorite shoe in the few short weeks I've had the pleasure of wearing them. They are awesome for many reasons: *Comfy as all get out! *Wide toe bed for wiggle room and natural toe-splay which is a great repreive from wearing dress shoes at work all day AND I can wear them with my thick wool socks. *Lightweight and bendy - especially important for the long walks we take our dog on, super cute because who said we need to sacrifice style for comfort? *I've worn them on a lightly-rainy dog walk and, though they are not advertised as weather proof, my feet stayed warm and dry. *Learning to field compliments like a pro - everywhere I go, these boots catch someone's eye. Those are just a few, but to sum up - the boulder boot is the best everyday shoe, hands-down (or hands up, if you're celebrating how much you love your Lems!)
Diane
OK....I got my Lems Boulder Boot Timber a month ago, but just started wearing them yesterday and I'm already in love! First of all, they are SUPER comfortable and I DO feel really grounded and stable. I went out last night and it was raining and I was so impressed that my feet stayed warm and dry. I love these boots. I'll have more to say about them with more use, but so far so good and I'm about to order another pair of Lems shoes and give away my shoes that have cramped my toes for years. Thanks Lems for making these! love the light weight-ness of them AND that they are vegan. Rock on!
Phil
Lightweight comfort with plenty of room for toes but without being sloppy these boots felt like old friends right out of the box. They just scream take us for a walk
Mary
These are great shoes. I bought them to replace my old pair of Merrell Barefoot Power Play gloves which Merrell no longer makes. The Lems shoes are a good alternative, though I do miss the vibram sole a little from the Merrell's. I haven't gone hiking (yet) in these, but I'm confident they'll hold up for a day hike. I found they chafed a little at first until I started tying them differently, and now they fit perfectly. There's plenty of room in the toebox, which is important to me. I bought (and returned) a pair of Vivobarefoot hiking boots because they didn't have enough room for my toes to move. The brown color is great, though I half wish I'd purchased Timber instead... those look amazing, but I went with boring. Perhaps next time, because there will be a next time! I can easily see myself buying another pair when (if) these wear out.
Emme Wistrom
These shoes are my new favorite! They literally go with every outfit and every time I wear them I get constant compliments on them. Not to mention I didn't have to worry about breaking them in at all, they are by far the comfiest hiking boots I've worn. I can't wait to stock up on more!
Matt
I purchased these boots to wear at work. I work in an office environment. Looks great with khakis and jeans. Very comfortable, no leg or foot pain at the end of the day. Have also put some heavier wear on them working on my car in the garage. Still holding up great. Have read some complaints about the boots not being waterproof. Have had them now for about 4 months. I plan on buying another pair sometime. Would reccomend.
Cas
I wanted a light weight but sturdy boot. These are just that, and my ankles feel very supportive as well. Great shoes!
jr
Ordered the biggest size and the shoe was not wide enough. It was very tight and uncomfortable. I tried modding it by cutting the material to relieve the pressure but it was useless, it just wasn't big enough. Frustrating because Lems seems to be the only company trying to make natural shoes. Every shoe I own hurts my feet, and it just gets worse everyday. I can't find a simple flat shoe. That's all I want. A flat piece of cushioning material with no toe spring or curves or any of this gimmicky nonsense the shoe manufacturers are pushing. Please make wider shoes Lems and make the shoe simpler! It doesn't need to act like a form fitting skin against the foot like it's painted on. Make it like a slipper that can endure the outside.
Jens
This is one of the best winter boot that I have had. But snow is melting the none lether part leaks. Please make this boot in total leader without changing the design!!!
Katherine
I love these boots. Very comfortable, light and compatible with Correct Toes. And I'm pleased with customer service. I easily returned the size which was too big for me. Boots can help even in winter with winter socks, but you should walk, standing will be cold. Unfortunately, they are not water proof, and it's a problem. I really need footwear for nasty weather, and only hope that water proof spray can help. But they are still the best boots I've had. I'm so grateful for them:).
Jerry
The shoe is very comfy with the added lining and still has enough room for a thicker wool hiking socks for those cold winter days. I haven't tried the orange laces yet but that day is coming soon. The only down side of the shoes is that my hardwood floors don't like them because the sole design picks up little pieces of slag that they use on the streets here for winter. The primals don't have that problem because of a more open sole design. By the way I already own 2 pair of 9-5s a pair of primals and now the boot. My feet don't like conventional shoes anymore but goodwill does. ave that problem because of a more open sole design.
Jonathan
I've had these boots for 3 months now and I really enjoy them. They serve as my everyday shoe as well as my running shoe. They are office appropriate as well. I feel like I don't need any other shoes. Of course, since they are flat, flexible and lightweight, you should walk cautiously if you go on a hike with them. You will feel a jutting rock or tree root. But hey, that is the point: to feel the ground beneath your feet. I have yet to wear them in the snow, but when I do will definitely wear wool socks since there is no insulation. Also, I am considering water-proofing them with wax. Just look up waxed-canvas and you will see what I mean. I was kind of scared of spending so much on these boots, but I'm convinced that they are worth it. I want to get another pair of the low top athletic variety, but so far, this boot eliminates the need for that. Thanks Lems! You rock!
Matt
I wear minimalist shoes as much as possible and have dreaded switching to regular boots every winter. I was happy to find these and after spraying with waterproof spray they handled moderate winter weather just fine. Not a super aggressive tread but I realize that is a trade off with a minimalist sole.
Jesse
best boots ever, i have been on the zero drop, large toe box shoe thing for a few years now and my feet are always cold in the winter since i haven't found a minimalist boot... until now. problem solved, don't change a think, if i could rate this 6 stars i would.
Jordan
If you're looking for a solid pair of backpacking/hiking shoes, these are not the pair. This is simply because they're not waterproof or warm enough. That being said, these are awesome otherwise. They're great for trail hiking and you could hike with them if it's a dry day hike. I wear them every day they're great.
Crystal
I love my boulder boots! Plenty of room in the toebox for my wide foot! Love the look as well.
Robert Baker
I have worn minimalist our barefoot shoes for the last six years because of the obvious health reasons, a little research reveals the common sense we have forgotten. I work in the service industry and am on my feet on the concrete/pavement 8-12 hours 5 days a week. I have never had a pair of work shoes last more than six months (usually 3-4 months is more accurate). I have had the Boulder boots (black) for 13 months waiting for my new pair to arrive. More than impressed with the quality of these boots. Keep pushing the envelope to exceed expectations and you will continue to excel in your field.
Megan
I wish I could trade all of my other crazy expensive shoes in for Lems. The Boulder Boot is the most comfortable shoe I've ever worn AND it's the only minimal shoe I've tried so far that fits Correct Toes (including the Merrell Vapor). The wide toe box is unparalleled -- I really feel that my feet have no constriction. When I first took them out of the box, I actually thought I was going to have to return them. They were quite stiff and I was worried that they looked too large or cast-like. Nope. I was wrong. I've gotten tons of compliments on them from people who are definitely not into minimal/barefoot shoes. :) I could easily wear Boulder Boots as my only shoe for the rest of my life! Lems for life!
Dimitriy
I've looked for a minimalist shoe for backpacking for years and these boots are the cat's pajamas. I sprayed them with Nikwax to make them more waterproof. The only thing I would change is to use open hooks (speed lacing system) on the top of the boot.
Mark
This is my 4th pair of Boulder Boots. I am getting ready to order my 5th pair. I wear these everyday from the end of October until the middle of April. I am on my feet all day & on all kinds of terrain & floor types. These are the most comfortable boot ever. I have other Lem shoes also & so does my son. They are the best. Thanks for making a great & dependable product. Thanks, Mark wonderful product.
Amrys
Received them in good condition just over a year ago. Waited for a year to give my review. I wear them every day to walk my dog 2-3 times a day. The walks range from 30 mins to 3 hours or even half a day depending on how much free time I have. I wear Correct Toes with them to help with feet strengthening. They are the best light-weight boots I've ever worn. Absolutely love them! They've survived hot urban roads to wet, muddy grassy slopes. I used to suffer from foot and leg cramps but now my feet are doing so much better especially when worn with the Correct Toes. There's now a hole in the sole of my boot which causes my feet to get wet when it rains. Am getting another pair of Boulder Boots but wonder if there's a way to resole them? The boots are still in very good condition and would be a shame to get rid of them. I bought a pair of Primal 2s as well but these are my favourite shoes when walking long distance with my dog :) Keep up the good work!
Kate
First things first: EVERY time I wear these, I get compliments. I consistently find myself reaching for these instead of others for a few reasons: 1. They are insanely comfortable. I'm a college student, so walking is in the job description, and when I rock these bad boys, my feet never bother me. 2. They are WARM! I didn't think they'd do that much for me in the elements, but tried and tried again, my feet are warm and dry come rain or snow. 3. They go with everything. Seriously. If you don't believe me, try it, I dare you. 4. They are unique. This is probably the biggest reason I love these so much, just because they're different and there isn't really anything else like them. I like to be a little different in my dress, and these definitely add to the vibe! If you've been stalking these for a while, buy them already! You won't regret it. (Side note: I actually won these in a contest and they have been the greatest prize ever)

Not surprised these boots are getting a full score. Wide toe box and just overall really comfortable. Im gonna a give a different review since people here have allready said what's true about them. I struggle with Plantar Fasciitis, and my pain is worst under my heel so going from shoes with raised heels that ive worn my enitre life, to flat shoes can be a long transition. The very first day i got these i tried them on and walked for an hour and they felt really good allthough my heel says stop after just about an hour. Nothing wrong about the shoes, just the transition im not used to and with foot pain the transition will be even longer. So i took a pair of thin soft heels in them and i could expand my walks by 30 mins to an hour extra. I can't do long walks in them because of my pain just yet, but every day i can expand my walks by 5-10 minutes and they have truly strenghtened my feet for sure. My left foot has overall gotten better because of these shoes. They have truly perfected a shoe that has no cushioing like Altra has, but the firm outer sole which still has a little softness in them that my feet respond well to. If you are looking to strengthen your feet and your are in your final stage of injury...get these shoes and slowly expand your walks in them day by day. It will take time to get used to them if you are in pain, but they will help you with pain relief over time. Noticed a difference allready after just a month with an hour or two walks each day. Don't push the pain, let your feet get used to them first before you challenge your feet with long walks. They run a whole size small. Im normally a US size 10,5 , but wear 11 sized shoes for the extra room. Ordered a 46 which equals 11,5 and they felt like a slightly bigger 10,5 if that makes sense. Im hoping they will offer half sizes in the future too, as the next size would be too big for me.

I wear these mainly for work. I take an average of 25000 steps per day in all conditions. These boots are lightweight and super comfortable. I've worn them about 5 months now and they are quite durable. They are nowhere near water proof - or even water resistant. Taking two steps in damp grass have my feet soaked. I've tried spraying them with water repellant and it just doesn't work. The lining is a cotton flannel material. I think this is why my boots smell like death. My boots smell so bad, I can smell them while I'm wearing them. I've now switched mostly to Merino wool socks which has mostly eliminated the smell. My feet still get wet wearing wool, but it doesn't bother me because they stay warm. Cotton laces broke pretty quickly. I replaced them with nylon 550 paracord which is an upgrade and looks exactly like the original laces. I'll buy these boots again because for me the comfort and durability trump the wet, rotten smelling cotton.

Its all about the fit! These boots have the shape and size to keep your toes happy and comfortable all day, plus they are stylish - which is an added bonus. They can indeed fit the CorrectToes spacers in them (that's how I wear them) - just remember to take out the removable in-sole so that there's plenty of room to accommodate the spacers. I love the boots and look forward to more of what Lems will bring to the market.
Ellen
If min shoes had been mainstream when I was growing up, I may never have needed bunion surgery. It's next to impossible to find a pair of boots that don't bottleneck your toes into a cone-shape. These boots are actually shaped to fit my now straight toes. My feet are happy in them. I am happy wearing them. My husband said he is a bit jealous, and will likely be getting a pair for himself very soon. Long live minimal, anatomically correct shoes! Long live Lems!
Jacob
Of course while they aren't waterproof they are pretty darn resistant. Snow means nothing, puddles can seep in a bit. Super warm, super comfy with a perfect wide toe box (I have wide feet, after a couple of years of natural footwear). I really like the sole, seems very durable with a great balance of thickness and groundfeel. They look great with khakis, black skinny jeans, on the bicycle, you name it. I love these things and will definitely buy again- if they ever wear out! Thanks!

!By far the best shoe I've ever owned!!!! Very happy. Last time I made a mistake of ordering a 10 1/2 size for the primal 2 and sent it back because it was too small. But didn't give up and about six months later ordered the boulder boot in size 11 and perfect fit!! (: Very happy. Make the primal as attractive as the boulder boot!!

I had been wearing the Primals for some time now, and I loved those. But then the rainy season came, and I needed something a little more rainproof and puddle resistant. I bought these boots to keep my feet warm and dry, and they do that and more. They have good traction on wet pavement, but I don't know about rocks - there aren't many rocks here. I normally wear a size 9 (41 here) in women's Vans, but I had to go a size smaller for these boots - a size 40, which is 8 - 8 1/2. They fit great and snug with the insole, with or without my Correct Toes in place. They're very light weight! I suffer from pain in the ball of my foot and big toe joint, but wearing Lems' shoes really helps a lot.

Though I received these boots in November, our winter did not begin in earnest until December 29th, so I've only worn these for ten days now. The quality workmanship and materials, and an extra pair of shoelaces impressed me immediately. The boots keep my feet warm in below-zero weather (Fahrenheit scale), and work fine in deep snow. They have great flexibility and comfort. I have been careful to avoid walking through puddles, as I understand they are not waterproof. I also have had to be careful on icy surfaces, although they have great traction on unpacked snow. Overall, these boots are just what I wanted for our long, cold winter, and I love the amber-blue color combination!
Ryan
Everything I've always wanted in a boot with a love for minimalism. They do an OK job of keeping your tootsies warm in the winter but you should know what your getting into with canvas!
Echo
These shoes are so fashionable and functional. The fit is true to size with no break in time needed. They felt so good right from the box. I haven't hiked in them yet, but I have worn them everyday for at least a month. So far they've worn great and have kept my feet warm on the colder days. On the warmer days they breath well, so my feet feel very comfortable! I highly recommend. I am now a Lems shoe person!
Rilli
I really like the look of the shoes and the construction seems sturdy at first glance. I am, however, used to wearing much more flexible and thin-soled shoes. I wear only barefoot style shoes and usually wear soles that are only 3-4 mm in thickness. I had read so many raving reviews about the Boulder Boot and really like the more normal casually trendy look of them that I wanted to try. I am thinking I will keep them and see how it works out, but after many great reviews about their flexibility I wanted it noted for others who are used to very thin soles: these are not that. You will really feel like you are wearing shoes, not slippers like with many other barefoot shoe brands. On the other hand, toebox is very roomy (which cannot be said of all thin soled shoes) and the toes can splay naturally. That, together with the lumberjack chiq appearance are pursuing me to keep the shoes.
Brian
I got these a couple months ago and they have been pretty great so far. I work in a metalshop..nothing large scale but I do welding and machining and am on my feet all day. The toe box and zero drop on these have done wonders for my feet so far. It's pretty amazing, the bunions on my big toes don't hurt after working for 10 hours in these. That being said, I wish Lems would make a heavier duty hiking/work boot with a bellows/half-bellows tongue and gore-tex lining--if the boulder boots had these, they would be perfect. The sizing is also a bit strange so I had to try a couple different sizes to get it right. I'm usually a 9-9.5 and am wearing a 10 in these. Don't worry though, customer service is great!
Tori
I needed a shoe with a wide toe box, yet a narrow heel (the way a foot is shaped). Came across Lems Shoes and they are perfect. The boots are comfortable and cute. I've hiked a little in them over rocky, muddy terrain and they worked great. My feet pronate, and I have collapsing arches. So, I've always required very good arch support to prevent pain. Recently I also developed a bunion. That's why I began looking for a shoe with a wide toe box (while still maintaining a narrow heel). There's not much choice out there for a shoe shaped the way a foot is shaped! But finally I found Lems. However, Lems shoes have no arch support. So, I figured I would buy the Lems shoes and add my own arch support insole. However, to my surprise, I don't need the arch support in these shoes (the boots and the Primal 2 shoes)! I am pain-free!
Robert Thomas
I wanted a boot that was thin-soled so I could feel the ground, but still would offer protection from the elements. I was floored by how difficult it was to find anything like that. Finally I got off of Amazon and stumbled on these boots. They're fantastic. They look good and feel good. Haven't had a chance to really test them out yet in heavy rain, let alone snow, but I imagine they'll work just fine.
David
Ive been living in minimalist shoes for the last four years, in summer I'm always in Vibrams but in the UK winter months you need some insulation. My goto boots would be from Vivobarefoot, great boots, but too thin a sole and insanely expensive. As the sole on these is so thin they give great ground feel but next to no warmth, even the thinsulate version don't cut it. Consequently the sole wears through quickly and they need replacing, more expense. When i had just about given up on the world of shoes, I found these!! TOTALY AWESOME They are light, just the right amount of space in the toe box and the sole is a sensible thickness. Obviously ground feel is not as apparent as it would be with a thinner sole but this is offset by thermal insulation and the practicality of a sole that won't wear out in five minutes flat. I love these boots and am awaiting the release of the new boot shoes. Congrats to the Lems team for their awesome products, you have a new fan, just wish there was a UK franchise. Keep up the great work
Bonnie
I've been wearing Primals for a few years and had been meaning to try out the boots. These are great for when I need something just a little warmer, or a little more supportive, than the primals. I never want to take them off.
David
Absolutely love the natural fit and lightness of the Boulder boot. They are perfect for the miles of walking I do in my job as a postman. Lems customer service is second to none! Love the shoes! Love the Lems story, the Lems team, and the Lems philosophy of living easy & minimal. Hoping to see a waterproof version of these boots in the near future.
Jerry
Just received my Boulder Boots to round out my closet of LEMS. I started with the Moca Nine2Fives, then added black, then Mariners, then black and brown pairs of Primal2's. I ordered these a size bigger than usual because I'll be wearing thicker socks. So far, I've only worn them a couple of times but I'm enjoying them as much as the rest of my LEMS. LEMS are all I wear except for a couple of pairs of Huaraches that I run in. It's kind of funny, because I don't think I ever had as many pairs of shoes that I wore before I went barefoot! Some folks here have told about getting shoes that weren't sized right (generally too small) and kept them anyway. The measuring isn't an exact science, but I'd urge you to take advantage of LEM's super easy, no-questions-asked exchange process. I did that with my first, and couldn't have been more impressed with the process. I think I had my replacemetns in just a couple of days. Cheers

Have been wearing minimal shoes for about four years now and always had a problem finding boots with zero drop for the winter. Been wearing these Boulders for a month and they are definitely extremely comfortable and hopefully will weather the wet and windy winter here in Wales.
Nate
Love the look and feel of these boots. I can wear heavy socks in the winter and stay warm or walk for miles in the summer while staying cool. I am usually active by walking our dog and riding my bike with these boots and they work great. These are my second pair. They held up past my expectations. I still have my 2 year old first pair that are now my yard work boots. I'd recommend them to anyone.
SM
Took a chance on the Boulder Boot for winter wear when it is either too wet or too icy (or both) for moccasins. Purchased a size or so larger to allow for felt foot bed and heavy wool socks. I was skeptical about the cotton lining but there were no problems encountered with snow up to about three inches which was all we had last year. The narrow heel and wide fore foot dimensions were exactly what I was looking for - solid fit and room to spread out. They have become my town and traveling foot wear as well since concrete, especially when wet and moccasins don't mix well. anyone who has made the change from heels of any height and experienced the improvements in skeletal, tendon and muscle health will very likely be as pleased as I was. For those considering the change - well, why not?
Celine L
I used the boots on a hike a day after receiving them. They gave me enough protection over rough terrain while giving me a good feel of the ground. I really love the Boulder Boot!
Tyler Cobb
I love these boots! They are so comfortable. If you are looking for a lightweight minimal boot you will not be disappointed. And they look great!
David Brown
These feel like you are not wearing shoes at all. The open toe box and light weight make these shoes feel like they are not even there. I have hiked Mt Fuji, and Mt Iwaki in Japan in these and they are great. I highly recommend LEMS. I own three different styles, Boulder, Mariner, and nine2five, and all are just as comfortable. Do yourself a favor and buy a pair.
Ben
Having had a couple of issues with the sizing and durability on Primals, I was a little hesitant at first to order a pair of Boulders without trying them on, but honestly, my Keen boots have been killing me during my 12 hour shifts here in Afghanistan. I had to try something to keep the swelling down. A 30 year old man in reasonable shape should not suffer from foot pain. The relief I've felt since wearing these boots has been instant and sustained. I'm a huge fan. They look great, they feel great to walk in, and they keep my feet from hurting when I sit at my desk for long periods of time. Solid win. If I had to take issue with anything, it'd be my concerns about durability and water resistance. I'm going to be putting some hard wear on these shoes and I'm concerned that the stitching is not going to hold up to long use and constant wear. If I had my 'druthers, I'd like to see an all-leather version of the boulder in a color like your brown ninetofives. I feel like it'd hold up a little better and I would not have to worry about going to get my waterproof but uncomfortable boots. You could remove the cloth inner and keep it as just supple leather. Like an uber- moccasin.
Genevive
I've been hiking with these boots all summer, and these are the best! Having the best footwear is a top priority when your feet have to endure hours upon hours of walking on uneven terrain.
kim
Started with Primal, then Mariner and now Boulder Boot. Can literally wear them all day without feeling like I need to take my shoes off. Followed guide for boot sizing. No break-in needed. So glad to ditch my rigid hard toed boots. Walking, hiking, biking. ..good for whatever you wear them for. So stylish too! Lot's of toe room. I moved to Lems after leg and ankle breaks left me with short Achilles and restricted ankle movement creating balance issues. Zero drops have been a lifesaver and I love my Lens!

Last spring,I wanted to wear my Lems Boulder boots for my pilgrimage in France walking on Saint-Jacques-de-Compostelle trail. But, unfortunately, I could not do it with my Lems boots. One week before leaving, I noticed they were hurting my second toe nail and it got black. Why? First, my 48 size were too short and there are no 49 size available. Second, the laces don t get close enough to the toes: so my feet tend to slide to the tip of the boot; especially going down a slope. Wearing my heavy and not flexible sole of my Lowa Camino boots, I had to stop my 750 km pilgrimage after only 450 km. Shin splint on my tibia! So sorry! But, at least, my toes were not black because of my Lowa boots with all the good laces coming close to the toes. I will go back on Saint-Jacques-de-Compostelle trail on may 2016. I wish to wear new improved Lems boots: taller boot (49) with more laces to keep my feet from sliding to the tip of the boots. Big mountains in Spain!
Alli
I've worn these day to day, around town, and on hikes. They're super comfortable and I've gotten tons of compliments whenever I've worn them. I swapped out for the orange laces and I love them. They fit true to size and I wear thin socks. High five!
Brandyn James
I would like to start off by mentioning that I have owned these boots for upwards of nine months, or so. The extra space, and thanks to a size inquiry the extra size up, I can wear these all day long without any foot pain. My feet feel very weird in anything other than my Boulder Boots. They are optimal, in my opinion, without the inner sole. Nothing beats sporting nothing at all (bare feet), but if you must adhere to the 'No Shoes. No Shirt.' policy then by George do it with a pair of these!

I can't believe I own these right now. I am not quite over the fact that my feet can breathe. Be free even when wearing shoes. OMG! I love these boots so much and they are cute. Super comfortable. Thanks lems for making these. I am really on a foot journey to take better care of my feet so I am glad I found you. I wore my boots the same day I got them to the movies. So in love with comfort.

This boot immediately became my everyday footwear this winter. Surprising warmth and water resistance. I only got cold when at a Nordic ski race standing on frozen ground for an hour at five degrees. My only complaint is that the sole is very slippery when wet, I think a lug sole would help for snow use.

Just returned from 25 day trip down the Colorado River rafting and hiking in the Grand Canyon. These shoes felt great the moment I put them on and were great on the rock trail and boulder climbing. I love them!

Logical to wear shoes that are the shape of foot. Loved every season but winter-always had to go back to heavy, constricting boots. Then, the Boulder boot! Record setting cold temperatures and record setting snow fall this winter in Maine-these boots were great! Used waterproofing spray and wool socks. Wore all winter for daily use (and some long hikes). Wonderful to feel like I was wearing sneakers all winter and my feet stayed warm and dry! Found my boot for Maine winters!

I am a Physical Therapist who specializes in a natural foot care approach to restore function of people's feet. I wear the Boulder Boot and Vivobarefoot shoes to work and around town daily. I recommend this shoe to my patients regularly. I haven't found a better shoe for someone who wants a shoe that doesn't deform their foot posture, looks good, and has some cushion.

lems boots are amazing. Exactly what I have always wanted in a boot. Extremely comfortable, almost like you are wearing nothing at all. Altho minimal the protection and comfort are there in full. Needs no breaking in, these shoes are designed to be wide and free.

So there were a few factors I was looking for in this boot that I am happy to say I have found. Overall, great. 1. A casual minimalist boot that feels good and looks good. 2. Walking gait not frustrated by construction like normal hikers (hard sole, raised heel, etc.) 3. Good on hot spots at 5 miles 4. Gentle on the feet and spacious for toe spread. I wear 44 in Vivo Ra's, had to go with 45 for Boulder. Size up - my recommendation. Exchange was easy.

I have very sensitive feet and they get sore almost every day. I have recently realized that any shoes with significant structure make my feet sore. Minimalist shoes (with a cheap Dr. Scholls pad) are what work best for me! Love my Boulder Boots

I love these boots!! It is such a delight and comfort to put them on. At first I didn't really like the way they looked but they feel so good on my feet I just love them now. I ordered a pair of black ones so I can wear them all the time with most all my outfits!!

These shoes are just about everything I could have hoped for. The fit is amazing, I love that I finally have barefoot boots, having been mostly barefoot for around 5 years now. I'm still getting used to having the extra room for my toes. And the comfort... Oh the comfort... My only beef, is purely aesthetic. I bought the brown boulder boots and there is not as much contrast in the leather and fabric as the stock photos make it seems. Picture it more tan, less olive.
Daniel
I bought these as a winter boot and they are irreplaceable. They're my favorite shoes because they are so versatile. I've worn these everyday since I got them and have taken them from urban landscape to the Texas bush. Really well made, athletic boots. You can run and jump in these like you're barefoot.

Delighted with these boots. They exhibit all of the essential minimalist features I was looking for. The lase loop on the tongue of the right one failed - minor, but a nuisance. Still learning how to lace them (I might have gotten them one size too big). Pay close attention to your socks and consider liners under wool outers in very cold weather - these are not warm boots.

I have been wearing the Boulder Boot for a bit over a month now and I absolutely love them. I had the opportunity to wear them on a hike up Grandfather Mountain and they did great- I was impressed by the fact that I never slipped despite all the water, snow, etc. These shoes do a wonderful job keeping my feet warm (something that I was skeptical about when purchasing).... All in all, I love these shoes and will happily continue to be a walking ad for a great little company.

I purchased these for my husband, a life long leather boot wearer, as an alternative to a Fila tennis shoe he was forced to wear with a special ankle foot orthotic due to his Foot Drop (neurological affliction). This was the first boot with a wide enough toe box that would allow his orthotic to slide inside easily. He said this boot is very comfortable, and he likes the ankle support. Plus, I think they look great on him. Thanks Lems for giving my husband the ability to wear a boot again.

Ever since moving to zero-drop minimalist shoes a few years ago, I have dreaded winter, as the heels on boots have killed my feet and legs. This winter i bought the Boulder Boot, and its amazing. They've held up in rain and mud and slush, yet are just as comfortable as my every day shoes. And they look great, which is an nice plus.
Rebecca
So comfortable and perfect. Its like wearing nothing! They were a bit large and I had to return for a smaller size. I look forward to purchasing more in the future. Keep the styles coming guys. So very happy with the fit.
Chris
These shoes are awesome. They are incredibly comfortable and stylish! The work quite well with a pair of darker jeans that I like to frequently wear. They tend to run a little small when I wear thicker wool socks but they are plenty warm without them too. I wish the waterproofing was a bit better but my feet have not been really wet in them yet. My first shoes from lems were the Primal 1s and these are quiet a worthy upgrade. Thanks for being true to the shoe and making a great product Lems!

At 33, I'm finding that cute shoes aren't cutting it & I need to spend a bit more on shoes that make my feet & legs feel good. We went on a field trip to a nature center this fall & the guide my group was assigned to had the Boulder Boot & I loved 'em. I had to wait 'til they were on sale, but I finally got them. I've never had so many compliments on my shoes & they're comfortable & warm enough for walking to and from my car.

I purchased these as a result of going through physical therapy for my knees, and needing a more subtantial shoe than a sneaker, with a zero drop-type footbed and being lightweight. They are AWESOME! I wear them even more than I expected to. Not exactly waterproof but they do hold up fine in dry snow and light-normal rain. Comfy, lightweight and cute. Happy customer here!

These are my first ever minimal shoes, and I'm super happy with them!! They look stylish enough to wear in the city, and are fabulously light. I never realised that all my other shoes were squashing my toes until I started wearing these, my feet feel great in them, and my whole foot still feels 'natural' when I take them off again. Theyre a bit warm now its summer, but I think they'll be perfect again for when autumn comes around. Oh, and I love that they're vegan! :)
Mark
I dont get to wear these as often as my other Lems, but when I do theyre a joy to wear. They are extremely light for a boot, and by far the most comfortable boot. Since I dont wear them frequently, I dont know how durable they are, but they do seem to repel the average rain. Id love to see them in a solid brown leather, or with the nylon similarly colored.
Joshua Bolton
Really comfy shoes that look fantastic too!
Seth
I love them! I've worn my boots to school several times when it's been wet outside and my feet have stayed completely dry. I've also worn them to go hiking and they worked great. These boots are very light and flexible and I can easily forget I'm wearing them when I'm sitting with them on. Great product!

The boot has a much wider toe box than is apparent from the photos, but this is one reason I love them. As a minimalist runner, I enjoy the extra room for my toes to splay. The sizing chart left me quite a bit of room for thick socks which I'm sure will prove to be beneficial this winter. My only complaint is that there is already fraying in the seams around the toe box and it's only been a month. All-in-all, great boot for a minimalist shoe wearer.

The boots ive been looking years for. Comfortable from the moment you wear them and excellent quality. 10/10 Lems

This is my favorite weekend boot! Love the light weight and flexibility. They were comfortable right out of the box.
Kathe
5 stars for both the women's Boulder Boots and for the great customer service. The boots are super comfortable with lots of wiggle room for my toes! Recommend this company.
Sean
Extremely comfortable. Materials feel great, and everything seems put together very well. They look awesome, feel awesome, and perform awesome. Only one issue - they definitely don't seem water resistant at all. Walking more than 10-20 feet in dew-covered grass can result in wet toes. But, that can be taken care of with spray...so, I say they're good enough that they still deserve 5 stars. Plus they dry quick. Awesome boots. Thanks Lems.

As a former heel lover, I have been on a journey to find normal looking shoes that are minimalist and I found my cold weather pair! LOVE the look and how great my feel feel after wearing them all day. Thanks for making a great looking pair of shoes I can wear throughout the year that don't make my feet feel like they have been in a cast!

initially I was a little concerned about which size to get but after some emails with Steve he suggested the perfect size. The boys were comfortable out of the box and have only gotten better with each wear. I look forward to many miles and will definitely be looking at other Lems.

I searched long and hard for a boot that had a wide toe box and flat sole, and stumbled across lems boulder boot. The first time I put them on was awesome, they are so light, and actually made of tougher material than I was expecting. I do trail maintenance for BLM, and so far they are great. As some other people have mentioned, the only thing I would change is give the bottoms a little more traction. Thanks for the great product.

Hands down the most comfortable shoe I've ever worn. They are like having slippers on all day. Toe box is roomy for the toes to spread out. I wear them every day!

I absolutely LOVE these shoes. This is my first pair of barefoot shoes and I honestly don't think that I'll ever go back to wearing regular shoes (except snow boots for winter.) I absolutely love that they're vegan; I wish the Mary Janes were vegan as well. The one downside is that they're not waterproof, but it's clearly stated and I was aware of that before I purchased them. I highly recommend these shoes!

Since receiving my Lems I can honestly say I have put them through the paces. Not two days out the box I took my new hiking boots on ten miles of trail and they never missed a beat. Rock, dirt, mud, and snow. The terrain didn't phase them in the lest. A quality product and prompt shipping. Excellent job all around.
JG
The only reason these aren't the perfect minimalist boot is because I have to leave the top two eyelets open in order to avoid shin pain where the top of the boot hits. My feet are very happy in these boots.
Colleen Gracey
Incredibly comfortable and perfect I purchased the Boulders when I needed boots for an archeological dig in Jordan. We had to walk miles every day to and from the dig, and up and down rough, rocky hills and terrain. These boots have great grip. Even in these conditions, the soles were perfect for me. I was aware of the feel of the ground, which gave me a confidence in walking and climbing, yet they never felt too thin. Best boots ever!! Thanks, Lems!
