I work in events. The first day I wore these to work i was on my feet from 10am to 4am. 18hours and they did not miss a beat.
I really wanted to like these shoes. I have bought quite a few shoes from bprimal before, so I was confident the sizing tool was accurate for my size. I bought the recommended size, but when it arrived it looked too big and felt too roomy on my feet. I returned it for the smaller size. When this arrived, they looked really nice on, but the toe box seemed too shallow. So I applied some leather stretcher and all seemed good. They are ok for short walks, but on longer walks, I experienced pain and bruising in my 2nd toe and toe nail. It turns out the be lenka shoes are a more extreme barefoot shape than my foot, as my big toe is shorter than my 2nd toe. They are lovely shoes, and I do still occasionally wear them, but disappointed I couldn't use them the way I wanted to. So, check the shape of your feet before you buy these!
I have Morton’s neuroma and capsulitis on both feet and this allows my toes to spread and not need an orthotic. Fantastic! I bought the white then the black. They are also incidentally a very cute and trendy style.
Had these a few months now, wear them for working with horses, bushwalking, dog walking etc. Love them! Soft, comfortable, don't rub my heels at all. So far waterproof in wet grass and mushy ground. I have very wide feet and no problems, even with winter toe socks. Grip is pretty good too.
The shoe although my size is very very snug, I have to wear either no socks or the thinnest socks when I go for my runs. Not much movement capacity within the shoe either and no potential for the material to expand.
I have Morton’s neuroma in both feet and capsulitis and these shoes enables me to splay my toes which gives me nearly complete relief without orthotics. So happy my podiatrist (Victoria from ACT) recommended I shop here.
Bought this because lems is known for their barefoot shoes, but this one is not, compared with be lenka, left in the pic, it's so different, it looks and feel more like my uncomfortable pumas, on the right.
Sadly bought them in clearance so I can't returned, and they can't do anything for an unsatisfied customer, waste of money
Thanks for your feedback – we're sorry the Trailhead didn’t meet your expectations. This style is built on Lems’ Medium Natural Fit last, designed for a more active, snug fit.
Lems shoes come in three Natural Fit shapes: Widest, Wide, and Medium – and the Trailhead is the most structured of the range. We do highlight this in the Size & Fit Guide to help customers choose the right fit.
If you’d like help finding a more barefoot-style option, we’re happy to guide you.
I have sensitive feet and like running on gravel trails. These, combined with the ortholite inserts really help with comfort.
I really like the look and feel of these shoes. I bought them for boxing training so I only wear them in the gym on carpet... After one month the grip/ tread is totally worn off! Wish they were more durable as I really like the aesthetics. Bprimal I'll be in contact for a new pair of shoes... something more durable :)
27 years of doing a job/business walking in and around houses. The Primal 3 are the most comfortable shoes by far, I have ever put on. After my first day with them on, I got home and didn't even feel like taking them off.
No break in time on the shoe at all. Unbelievable.
I'm getting another pair. The way shoes should have always been made. Thanks Lems.
My 3 year old doesnt like wearing shoes. She finds most of them hard. I wasnt sure if she’d like them but im so glad she loves them. They arent so easy to take off which is a plus for us as she doesnt take them off so often. I really want same shoes in my size 😄
I ordered the shoes because that looked great and was affordable. I accidentally believed my size was a 43 from the internet charts and I found it was too small. When I called up bprimal they were excellent in providing me an exchange and now that I received the size 45 I am so happy with them. Definitely recommend I have never had a shoe like it.
Love my new lems! Beautiful colour and very comfortable. I'm about to be hiking daily and love that my feet will be super comfortable and supported, and as they are barefoot shoes I can wear my correct toes inside them too!
Love these so much, so comfy. My feet feel so much better now after a dog walk, I am a US size 7 and went for a 7.5 and it is perfect
I am super happy with these shoes. I put off this decision for a long time as they aren’t exactly affordable. However I needed a pair more suitable for work and wanted to start the year the right way.
They are instantly comfortable and I really like the cork insole. These shoes also dress up and down. Either with jeans, chinos or dress trousers.
I do recommend these to anyone on the fence.
B Primal shoes are pretty much the only shoes my Daughter will wear due to her sensory issues. They are amazing quality and so comfortable!!!
Super comfy. I took the time to watch the YouTube video adjust them properly and they even fit my high instep hobbit feet beautifully. Will be getting another pair soon.
Debated sizes going up or as per size chart. In the end my usual UK9 is a perfect fit. Quality is excellent, comfortable right out of the box, did a 5km hike day two, fantastic shoes. Lots of grip, and yes, not a fully barefoot shoe but a great support trail run/hike shoe.
Absolutely love them. Size 10 in vans is a true perfect fit. It’s insane how comfy they are straight away.
I shouldn’t have been so apprehensive and got them when i first looked at them.
I'm really happpy with the Shamma Mountain Goats. Nowadays Shamma call these sandals Elite Alphas. They have great grip and I highly recommend printing their size templates and studying the overall clearance around the foot. I did this and avoided getting a size too big. I also invested in the power straps and these have made them feel even more secure.
I bought these in early December 2024 and haven't been able to take them off. They are so comfy and stylish in a retro way, with plenty of room to accomodate my toe correctors (I have bunions on both feet), and versatile enough to go with jeans, dresses, shorts. I have rather high arches, and was wondering about the zero drop design. Have been walking all over Sydney in them without getting sore feet, they didn't require any "breaking in".
Was worried they'd show dirt easily, being a pale cream/beige, but they've been fine so far. Taking them travelling overseas for the next few months.
p.s. I'd initially bought these online, and went to the physical store at Neutral Bay to change one size down. The shoes are true to size, but I had thought I needed a larger size. The staff at the store were friendly and helpful.
I’ve only worn them a couple of times but so far they look and feel great! Wide enough to not annoy my bunions. I took the insoles out first extra space.
