First pair of Lems but will definitely not be my last!
I am a huge barefoot shoe fan. And have had many sport/running brands including Vivo, Five Fingers and Altra.
But have never owned any casual shoes.
Lems are comfortable, true to size and look good even with a pair of Nudie Selvadge denim jeans.
I am converted!

Shoes are amazing so comfortable and lightweight, look really nice and smell.of amazing leather

This is my first pair of Lems shoes and I wasn't sure of the American sizing. The size 10 boulder boot is quite large and wide for me. However, I went on my first trek today with them and they were super light, comfy and grippy enough. On the improvement side of things, I would prefer an all leather lining which would be more hard wearing.
Leni D.
I LOVE these boots! From the moment I put them on I have been so comfortable in them.
Would recommend to anyone!
Esther O.
I’m normally a W11 but got a W11.5 as the size guide advised. These fit differently to my Lems Kourt, perhaps slightly loose, but I think if I went W11 they would have felt too small.
The quality is good. The leather is quite soft which makes them feel a bit more line a slipper than a boot to wear, which is probably a good thing for mobility. I find the boot very comfy and I think it looks quite nice for a winter/autumn boot.

These boots are the best!
The quality and comfort are impeccable.
I am also pleased that they came with the extra pair of brown laces, I much prefer them to the brighter yellow and light brown ones that come laced into them.
I do recommend going up a size, I did, and they fit perfectly.

These boots are absolutely fabulous!
Their comfort and quality is impeccable.
They're so well made, from high quality materials, and so incredibly comfortable, I'm in love with them!
I did size up a bit, I normally wear a womens size 9 1/2, but I went up to a 10, and I'm glad I did, they fit perfectly.
And I am especially happy that they came with the dark brown laces, I much prefer them to the brighter yellow/ light brown ones that they come laced with.

Normally wear 10.5. Ordered 11 and they fit well. They are comfortable lined leather boots. I recommend these boots for hiking and walking.
Lizzi R.
Have worn them everyday since they've arrived! Partly out of love and partly because as they are leather they need time to break in.
I'm normally a size 38, 7.5US and after reading the advice of others ordered a while size up, so ended up with 8.5US and they are perfect.
I found the soles a bit stiff, but again reading the comments, I removed the insole and then they felt perfect!

I love my Lems. They are the right size for winter wearing...ie. with the toe socks and a warm pair of winter socks over the top. I think when I order my summer pair I will go half a size down, to be sure they don't get too sloppy. I have had years of pain around my toes...like a nerve pain and am finding having room to spread my toes has made a huge difference. I still get a little soreness mid foot, but I think my feet are just getting used to the new shape.
Nadja K.
What a wonderful shoe. Happy feet , happy me.
Feeling grounded starts from the feet.....!
I have ordered the shoe for my work as a gardener and they feel great all day. I just ordered a second pair of Lems looking forward to them!
Robert C.
Absolutely love them! Perfect fit, just a little tight on the top of my foot, but I'm sure over time that will stretch in.. length and width is Perfect.. im a 10-10.5 but I think I couldve gone a size 11 comfortably... Considering on purchasing another pair but in the black..
I highly recommend these good quality boots, its money well spent and I'm sure they will almost last me a lifetime.. Thank you.

My overall experience with this purchase was simple, fast and easy, the reviews of the shoot, great, informative, wish to apply by decision.
I really love the shoes, I wear them all the time they are excellent white, and very comfortable. Very good for any well-dressed occasion or even just fun with the kids going on a hike

Best boots I've ever worn

I love these shoes. So comfortable
Yulia
I ordered half a size up (7.5) but the boots are still a little snug. The length is good, but I have wide feet with a high instep and the boot is tight across the forefoot and pinches my little toe. HOWEVER - I took the insole out and voila! The boots fit! I'm a bit sad to lose the extra cushioning and I hope the exposed stitching won't be a problem, but the next half size up is sold out and don't want to send these boots back because I love the way they look! I got the raven colour and they are super cute with the red laces and plaid lining! Besides, it says on the Lems website that you can wear them without the insoles, so I am keeping the 7.5. The quality seems excellent. Tempted to buy the russet colour as well - if I do I'll try a full size up.

Super comfy boots; I haven’t taken them off since I purchased them over a month ago. I have very wide feet near my toes, and these shoes don’t squeeze my feet, but give them space.

Great fit, good looking and really comfortable

I love these, after the waterproof boulder boots, I wanted a pair I could breathe in a bit more for when it's not raining. Took only a day to wear in and soften up :)

These are my first Barefoot shoes, and I love them. Comfortable, easy to dress, durable. Wear them every day for work. Happiest man alive.

they fit great def 1/2 size bigger. got soft and good after a few small walks.

The best, lightweight boots - my toes have so much room to move. They look great on and so so comfortable and light.

Light and comfy

Fantastically comfortable. Best bare feet shoes I have found.

Did my reviews of Lems on YouTube Google etc. Believe the hype in them. My experience matches all the good reviews. Amazing footwear ready to go straight out of the box, no wearing in. Light comfortable flexible breathing barefoot shoe that will leave you amazed at their uniqueness. Gave all my non Lems footwear to charity and kept the best.

Delivered promptly. This is my second pair of LEMs Boulders - the original pair is due for retirement. The price is equivalent to ordering direct from LEMs so why not support a local stockist and get faster delivery.
Eileen
A friend recommended these to me. I ordered them because I wanted a lighter boot for the summer. I love the big toe box. Wearing these boots has reduced my hip pain, and is allowing me to enjoy walking again. If ur considering these, give them a try.
Amberly
I am in love with these boots. It makes me said that the weather is getting warmer so I don't get to wear them. These are so comfortable and keep my feet nice and warm. I love the toe space just like all Lems shoes have. They are my favorite pair of shoes I think I've ever had. I also love that is says live easy and minimally right on the boots.
Blake
The Russet are my third pair of Boulder boots my and my fourth pair of Lems.
I wear a pair of Boulders everyday for work play ,virtually everything. At work I am on my feet walking for up to 12 hours a day. I spend a large percentage of that time on concrete. I love them.
I find the fit and feel to be amazing. That is a huge thing for me because I dont have the best designed feet. My feet have very low arches and are narrow, if I was heavy my feet would be flat. My left foot has never pulled its wieght. After a year and a half of everyday wear my left foot has joined the party, its flexing and pushing like never before. Random aches and pains in my back are gone my posture is better than ever. With my new strength and balance I feel much more pep in my step.
My only real criticism and I find it odd that the tongue does not come with a gusset. Without it they are not very water resistant. Even with the best waxing or oiling the smallest puddle can shoot water around the tongue. A made in the USA pair would be awesome even with the price jump.
Thank you for making this boot.
A
Great boots with the added bonus of great customer service. Comfortable and flexible boot - cannot wait to use on my trip! I needed to get a bigger size and they were quick to send me out a new size so they would be in on time for my trip. Highly recommend! Hope they last a long time.

I absolutely love my Boulder Boots. I wear them all the time. I went one size up from my normal size for extra toe-box comfort and then removed the insoles so I could fit a pair of Correct Toes. I've been impressed that the rubber tread seems to be outliving the leather. I thought the soles would go bald within a year of light use, but I believe I'm going on two years with almost daily wear. I'm generally someone who is constantly eyeing my next pair of shoes and these have cured me of that!
Kyle
I've found no boot like the Boulder Boot from Lems. I work on asphalt, with lots of mud, and I walk a lot while working. These boots are very resistant to mud, oil, and grease stains. I've had these boots over a year and recently started working in them the last 4 months. The boots show no signs of failure anywear, and still look great. They're comfy. When other guys change they're boots after work, I keep mine on. The only additional option I'd like to see in this boot is waterproof. I can't work in this boot in the rain because the cloth gets saturated, and I can't walk in deep puddles. Around town in the rain they're fine, but hours in the rain won't cut it. Great boot!
Juan Pablo Espada
best pair of minimalist boots i have ever purchasedso comfy they feel like slippers for the outdoors.
Phillip
I loved the boulder boot in leather russet so much that I bought another pair (buckeye) as soon as I tried them on. They transition from work, to party, to adventuring seamlessly, and I always get comments on how great (and comfortable) they look. I can't wait to take them travelling with me, and give them a proper field test through 6 weeks of adventures. Thankyou team for creating a shoe I never want to take off.
Cody
Very comfortable shoe. Fits the foot really well.they are a good look and feels like you're walking bare foot but with the perfect amount of support. They do get a tad hot on really hot days. So I just switch to the slate 2 which work well in heat.
Justin
Awesome boot. I wear mine working in my butcher shop and everyday wear. They are holding up well to the riggers of my work. I love the look as well. Help me keep my feet natural and comfortable, as I spend up to 12 hours on my feet a day.
Meredith
The perfect shoe to accommodate for those unhappy bunions and hammer toes. I am able to use my inserts provided by my podiatrist & walk with no pain. The toe box is extremely spacious for my toes yet the boot is still fashionable! (& I wear a women's 10.5) Thank you, Lems! Your shoes are what i've been searching for!
Jim
I bought a pair of the all-leather Boulder Boots the day that they came out and have been very happy with the purchase. Comfortable, durable, minimal, and -- in terms of looks -- conventional. I tend to wear one pair of boots with everything I own and could not pull the trigger on any of the two-tone styles. The all-leather Russet looks great and is versatile. Although these do not provide waterproofing out of the box, there are many leather waterproofing products to choose from. The benefit of the all-leather style is that I can coat the entire boot in Nikwax and not worry about water until it's time to re-apply. I asked Lems and they also recommended Nikwax. The sizing is consistent with the Nine2Fives and (of course) the other pairs of Boulder Boots. I know it can be a challenge for smaller shoe companies to establish that consistency, so thank you Lems.

I'm a licensed physical therapist assistant, certified in the assessment and making of custom orthotics, and neutral support shoe lover. This is my first pair of LEMS. I'm trying to get away from my canvas CROCS that wear out in 6 months. I have a very natural for and do best without support. I'm very picky about my comfort and I'm very satisfied with my first impressions of fit. I'm going though that they last at least 3 times as long as the canvas CROC slip-ons to justify the price. I'm concerned they might not because the leather is not at all what I expected. It feels and smells like pleather, and shoes creases and lines like a month old shoe after just a couple hours around the house. I'm very hopeful though because they feel even better than the CROCS. Time will tell. If they hold up and price durable for at least 18 months of normal office wear, they win. My concerns about the initial durability are why I dropped my rating to 4 stars from 5. If a leather boot can't last 18 months for this price, I'll be very disappointed and wish I'd went with a cheaper canvas. Honestly, it's nice that it's light, but the way this feels I'm betting the canvas will be more durable. That's definitely disappointing for this first time buyer. Kudos on the design though, kudos indeed.

So i am a big guy and i have always been in the thickest soles, with the hardest rubber, with the tightest laces and ankle braces, and supports, and insoles, and extra thick socks, all to just try to get my back to stop hurting, and my feet, and ankles, and knees. None of it ever worked, in fact most of that probably made it worse. I got these on a whim after reading up quite a bit on my flatish feet and what a lot of places recommended getting shoes that are as flat as possible, with enough room for your toes to move around, and not a lot of cushion. every time i searched 0 drop shoes, lems were the first to pop up as best, or favorite, or most recommended it turns out i have to agree with every good thing i have heard about them. I have had no foot pain, ankle pain, knee plain, nor back pain since i started wearing them. Prolonged periods of standing and walking no longer cause debilitating pain in my back and ankles. (the need to sit down for at least 15 to 20 minutes just to be able to stand up straight) My ONLY beef's, are that they are a bit more than i usually spend, and because they are a tad warm, im going to have to buy a pair of the shoes, also a bit more than i usually spend, however after all the years of buying and trying hundreds of pairs of other shoes, ill gladly pay it until they DO cost less.
Mary
These are great shoes. I bought them to replace my old pair of Merrell Barefoot Power Play gloves which Merrell no longer makes. The Lems shoes are a good alternative, though I do miss the vibram sole a little from the Merrell's. I haven't gone hiking (yet) in these, but I'm confident they'll hold up for a day hike. I found they chafed a little at first until I started tying them differently, and now they fit perfectly. There's plenty of room in the toebox, which is important to me. I bought (and returned) a pair of Vivobarefoot hiking boots because they didn't have enough room for my toes to move. The brown color is great, though I half wish I'd purchased Timber instead... those look amazing, but I went with boring. Perhaps next time, because there will be a next time! I can easily see myself buying another pair when (if) these wear out.
patrick
unless you buy another pair in another color. this is my 2nd pair of Boulder boots. the first pair lasted me 2 years I think and still looks good and is as comfortable as they have ever been. Hands down, these are the best, most comfortable shoes you will own. All of a sudden you will realize, oh, I can wear these boots with shorts, and I can wear these boots with dress slacks, and hell, I think these boots will look damn fine with a suit
Joshua
I've bought 3 pairs of Boulder boots this year and and I'm not ashamed. I'm so in love with these shoes. I've never had a pair that fit better. At my job I'm on my feet for 8+ hours. I've tried everything - running shows, 150$ Nike's, insoles - nothing compares to the comfort I feel when wearing my LEMS. I don't think I'll buy any other shoe again.
Dustin
These boots are wonderful for all of my outdoor adventures--hiking, Scouting, working, etc. they allow my toes to be free and provide support and stability, while protecting me just enough from the elements and other dangers to make outdoors wonderful.
Emily
I've had these boots for a few years and absolutely love them. I never wore heels or anything too restricting, but I developed bunionettes from wearing normal shoes. I found this company and have never looked back. My toes have ample room, they're SO comfortable, they breath, they're super lightweight, they can dressed up or worn for hiking, and they're zero drop. I get compliments on them all the time. Really, the perfect shoe.
I'm Only Sleeping
Love the idea of the boot but can't wear it as it is too small. Size 48 in the Nine2Five fits me fine, but size 48 in the Boulder Boot is about the size of, or a bit smaller than, a 47 in the Nine2Five. Beware that larger sizes may vary between models, contrary to the website's sizing guide.
keegan
my favorite pair of shoes. lightweight, ultra comfortable, and are showing little signs of wear after wearing them nearly every day for the past 3 months. I would recommend these to anyone.
Robert Baker
I have worn minimalist our barefoot shoes for the last six years because of the obvious health reasons, a little research reveals the common sense we have forgotten. I work in the service industry and am on my feet on the concrete/pavement 8-12 hours 5 days a week. I have never had a pair of work shoes last more than six months (usually 3-4 months is more accurate). I have had the Boulder boots (black) for 13 months waiting for my new pair to arrive. More than impressed with the quality of these boots. Keep pushing the envelope to exceed expectations and you will continue to excel in your field.
Roadrunner
A foot injury from years of running has left me with a collapsed arch and a foot that no longer fits comfortably in most shoes or boots. The Boulder boot gives me just what I need with regard to a wide toe box, ankle support, and the ability to easily insert my orthodics in the boots.
Ed
I have always steered clear of boots. Now that I own these I don't remember why I was hesitant. The Boulder Boots are so comfortable. I can wear them all day, spend all day on my feet, and for once my feet do not hurt. Absolutely GREAT!
Linda Hoover
AWESOME!!! These are the most incredible boots I have ever owned. They are like wearing your favorite pair of slippers, but in a boot. As a horse trainer, who spends a lot of teaching on her feet teaching each day, these boots have been an incredible find for sore feet. I typically wear these boots twelve hours a day, seven days a week. In fact, I hate it when I can't wear them as my chosen footwear. Hint: Please make an all leather boot version and a dressier woman's shoe too. In the past, I have had serious foot pain. I have been through multiple pairs of custom shoe inserts, per my chiropractor's recommendation, and gone to a podiatrist for help. I finally took matters into my own hands and went minimalist. What a relief!!! First, I tried a pair of Vivobarefoot boots, which helped. Then I tried Lem's Boulder Boot. OMG! What a difference. Lem's surpasses Vivo for comfort AND durability! I have worn the same pair of Lem's boots for over seven months and they are still in excellent condition in spite of being worn in dirt, wet grass and abrasive footing.

If min shoes had been mainstream when I was growing up, I may never have needed bunion surgery. It's next to impossible to find a pair of boots that don't bottleneck your toes into a cone-shape. These boots are actually shaped to fit my now straight toes. My feet are happy in them. I am happy wearing them. My husband said he is a bit jealous, and will likely be getting a pair for himself very soon. Long live minimal, anatomically correct shoes! Long live Lems!
Seth
I love them! I've worn my boots to school several times when it's been wet outside and my feet have stayed completely dry. I've also worn them to go hiking and they worked great. These boots are very light and flexible and I can easily forget I'm wearing them when I'm sitting with them on. Great product!
Arnold
Great Boot! Extremely light weight when compared to regular boots of same style. Extremely flexible. They do not need to be broken in as many other boots do. Comfort right out of the box. Good ground feel for a boot.
Jack
I bought these shoes and immediately took them on a 3 day backpack in the Arizona desert. I had applied the recommended waterproofing Otter Wax which proved to work well when I slipped my foot into a stream. The material is really soft and comfortable, very lightweight which is ideal for backpacking. However, after walking through a short section of cat claw the leather had deep scratches, and after the backpacking trip they almost looked like distressed leather. The wax + backpacking gave the leather dark dark brown patches, which looks sort of cool and rustic, but I can't rub that dark color out without distressing the leather more than it already is. The same effect happened to the canvas, but just turned to a darker green, not as dark as the leather had changed. I don't use them at all for hiking now as I'm worried they will tear apart, but I love wearing them around as casual boots, they are so comfortable and great for thick wool socks since they are loose. I have to clip loose threads around the edges every so often which is a little disappointing. The sole in general is comfortable, more padded than a vibram, but feels less durable. It is wearing less rapid than expected. No major scratches on the sole from the cat claw either. The laces are a little stretchy and seem to be holding up well. I think their sizing chart is slightly off, I wear an 11.5 merrell which fits like a glove, but 46EU is a little too loose. Normally I like my ankle and heal area to be nice and snug with a big toe box, but it was too loose on the ankle/heel. Zappos sizing chart says 11.5US matches to 44-45EU which is more accurate in this case. I will go with a 45 if I get a new pair. Overall I would buy a new pair, however I wish I'd have known the appropriate terrain use beforehand. Think they are a little pricey for what they are but it's fun to try something different than the Merrell/Newbalance minimalist.
Jacob
Of course while they aren't waterproof they are pretty darn resistant. Snow means nothing, puddles can seep in a bit. Super warm, super comfy with a perfect wide toe box (I have wide feet, after a couple of years of natural footwear). I really like the sole, seems very durable with a great balance of thickness and groundfeel. They look great with khakis, black skinny jeans, on the bicycle, you name it. I love these things and will definitely buy again- if they ever wear out! Thanks!

!By far the best shoe I've ever owned!!!! Very happy. Last time I made a mistake of ordering a 10 1/2 size for the primal 2 and sent it back because it was too small. But didn't give up and about six months later ordered the boulder boot in size 11 and perfect fit!! (: Very happy. Make the primal as attractive as the boulder boot!!
Echo
These shoes are so fashionable and functional. The fit is true to size with no break in time needed. They felt so good right from the box. I haven't hiked in them yet, but I have worn them everyday for at least a month. So far they've worn great and have kept my feet warm on the colder days. On the warmer days they breath well, so my feet feel very comfortable! I highly recommend. I am now a Lems shoe person!
Hilldweller
Love 'em, love 'em, love 'em. Just wish two things: 1) better sizing. the 48 is just a tad too short. also, the ankle binds and I only lace them up 5 holes instead of 7. 2) make a stouter version for worse weather. I wear these to work almost all the time.

This is my second pair of Lems shoes, the first being the Primal running shoes. On both pairs I have had issues with the eyelets. On my first pair, one of the eyelets split down the middle on the first day I had them. It wasn't a big deal, the shoes still worked the same. On the pair of Boulder Boots I received, one of the top eyelets was cut improperly and causes the lace to snag when I tighten it. I've had them for a month and already the shoelace is frayed in many spots. It's not a big deal, I'll just have to replace the laces from time to time. I bought these boots because I absolutely love the minimalist shoe style here at Lems. I find it difficult to wear other shoes now as they feel tight and constricting on my feet. Since it's starting to get cold here I figured I'd give the Boulder Boot a shot and have been very pleased so far. They've kept my feet warm on those cold morning walks to the bus stop. I assume they'll handle just fine with a pair of nice wool socks when it starts to get really cold. These boots are very comfortable and unbelievably light. All in all I love the boots. Comfortable, light weight, and decent at keeping my feet warm. My only issue is the defect with the eyelet. If it wasn't for that I would rate these 5 stars. I doubt such a defect is common, so don't let that scare you away from these boots; I just happened to be unlucky enough to get two pairs with eyelet defects.

Soooo comfortable for my wide feet... Everytime I have to wear a different shoe (Sports, waterproof, dress) including my line of vivobarefoot shoes, when I put these on after, it feels like a massive relief, like stresses I was not aware of in my feet, just vanish. Please please please make vegan versions of your mariner and nine2five shoes, please? If I was to give one negative, the heel is a little loose for my feet but saying that, it doesn't affect sole wearing, my soles are wearing very evenly :)
Daniela
I am pretty darned satisfied with my Boulder Boots. A true minimalist boot! They are incredibly comfortable, super lightweight and have a great simple style. In most of my shoes, even minimalist style shoes, I usually wear a very thin insole with arch support. I know, I know, that is besides the point of a minimalist shoe, but unless I am wearing something like five fingers, I haven't found that I can wear any flat shoe without getting pain in my bunion area unless I have a little bit of arch support for my incredibly flat feet. However, with the Boulder Boot I actually can't wear the arch support without getting pain!! So I had to remove my normal arch supports and I'm finding them so much more comfortable without anything at all. I love feeling the ground, rolling through my full range of motion and strengthening my own arches - while still wearing a boot! I will say that the insoles that are sent with the shoes are really smelly. They have a strong toxic smell that is really bothersome to me, so I need to find some other kind of insole to take up the extra room, now that I have removed my thin arch supports. They are fine without any insoles around town, But when I took a long hike and then the other day, that little bit of extra room caused a small blister. I am typically a size 8 women's shoe. I got two different sizes to try - 39 and a 40. The 40 seems fits my length better with an insole, But without the insole there's just little too much extra room all around. Other than that, I have been really pleased. I plan to wear them a lot!
David
Ive been living in minimalist shoes for the last four years, in summer I'm always in Vibrams but in the UK winter months you need some insulation. My goto boots would be from Vivobarefoot, great boots, but too thin a sole and insanely expensive. As the sole on these is so thin they give great ground feel but next to no warmth, even the thinsulate version don't cut it. Consequently the sole wears through quickly and they need replacing, more expense. When i had just about given up on the world of shoes, I found these!! TOTALY AWESOME They are light, just the right amount of space in the toe box and the sole is a sensible thickness. Obviously ground feel is not as apparent as it would be with a thinner sole but this is offset by thermal insulation and the practicality of a sole that won't wear out in five minutes flat. I love these boots and am awaiting the release of the new boot shoes. Congrats to the Lems team for their awesome products, you have a new fan, just wish there was a UK franchise. Keep up the great work
Bonnie
I've been wearing Primals for a few years and had been meaning to try out the boots. These are great for when I need something just a little warmer, or a little more supportive, than the primals. I never want to take them off.
Robert Thomas
I wanted a boot that was thin-soled so I could feel the ground, but still would offer protection from the elements. I was floored by how difficult it was to find anything like that. Finally I got off of Amazon and stumbled on these boots. They're fantastic. They look good and feel good. Haven't had a chance to really test them out yet in heavy rain, let alone snow, but I imagine they'll work just fine.
scott benge
I have had the boots for about a week and after an initial break in (3 days) and getting used to lacing them differently than the boots I was wearing. I have to say they are very comfortable and light. I wear them mostly indoors for work so I do a lot of walking. I am hoping the construction and the sole will be durable. I have had trouble in the past with other light weight boots not lasting more than a year. so if they last longer than a year then I will update to a 5 star.

A GREAT boot! My Boulder Boots have hardly been off my feet since they arrived. The first week I walked and average of 6 miles per day up and down hills, across fields and through the woods. A week later I averaged 11 miles per day on pavement as I participated in a walk along the side of a road. I recommended Lems at every opportunity - don't be surprised if you have a surge in orders from Maine.
Meredith Cogswell
I have been wearing the Boulder Boot for a bit over a month now and I absolutely love them. I had the opportunity to wear them on a hike up Grandfather Mountain and they did great- I was impressed by the fact that I never slipped despite all the water, snow, etc. These shoes do a wonderful job keeping my feet warm (something that I was skeptical about when purchasing).... All in all, I love these shoes and will happily continue to be a walking ad for a great little company.

With the instructions on your site, I managed to get the fit right on the first try. The first couple of times I put them on, I rather wished you'd replaced the top three or so pairs eyelets with hooks (as I have on most of my other boots), but in practice I find that it's not much slower to take off or put on the boots even with eyelets. The first time I wore them on a longish walk, I did have some rubbing at the back of my heel, but it didn't progress as far as a blister, even after 5 miles. After I noticed it, I tightened up the laces around the ankles. Either that fixed it, or my heel skin toughened up very quickly, as I've had no further problems. I bought these hoping that they'd be adequate winter boots, and so far this fall, I'm pretty pleased with the degree of warmth. The sole is about as thick as it could be and still provide a good connection with the ground, and I'm hoping that they'll be warm enough for walking on frozen ground, winter sidewalks, etc. That I won't be sure of for another two or three months. Today I wore them on a 15 mile hike. My feet felt great the whole time, and still feel great now.

I was leery on buying these boots at first because they don't have an option for width. I generally wear 4E width to give my feet some space in the shoe. I emailed customer support and was emailed back later that day. Over the course of multiple emails with help from both Brittany and Steve, I was told that I should buy the size 47. Steve had me measure my foot so that he could get me the right size! I normally wear 11.5 US, which equates to size 46 on their sizing chart, but I went ahead and trusted them and bought the 47's. I got the boots last night, tried them on, and they fit perfectly. I wore them around for a little while to see how they felt and was not disappointed. I've worn them to work today and so far, they are still great. They are very comfortable. I cannot attest to how well they hold up having just gotten them, but after some time has gone by, I will come back and re-post with an update. Every time I get shoes that I like, when it comes time to replace them they are discontinued, so I will be buying several pairs from here. The next shoe I think I'll try is the Mariner. I hope you find this helpful. Thanks, Jake

These boots are just what I'd hoped they'd be. Sooo comfortable, flexible and roomy. And I like their look, too. For the last several years I've been going barefoot more and more and my old foot wear stopped fitting as my toes spread apart. So these nicely accommodate my wider toes. I actually wear them to work. I am a farrier, I trim horses' hooves. They are super comfortable for my job however they don't offer much protection if a horse accidentally steps on my foot! That's okay, I just have to be extra mindful. :)

Love my new Lems! They are great outdoor shoes. Stylish and I have gotten many compliments. Would not suggest then for hiking on rocks as there is minimal traction and they can be slippery. Great for regular ground, sand, dirt, etc. I would not wear them in a situation where slipping and falling is a high risk. Other than that they are great!

Love my boulder boots for everyday wear. I have even hiked over 40 miles in Yellowstone followed by 15 miles in a full backpack. The only drawback is no full leather option. That would make the boulder boot a truly usable outdoors boot. The lack of water resistance is a pain if things get even moderately wet. Mine are sprayed with Kiwi water protectant and that works well for light conditions. C'mon Lems! Give is a boulder boot in a lightweight leather option that can be fully water proofed! THEN you'd have perfection.

These shoes are literally perfect, if a bit ratchet looking (who cares about that?). I got them because due to spinal problems, I have to wear completely flat shoes to not be in pain. Aside from a short neighborhood walk, I broke these in by hiking a 13,5 mountain for 8 hours. They were 100% comfortable that whole time, no blisters of any kind, and appear to have not even suffered any wear, even after scaling a loose talus-covered mountain side, among other things. I had to unexpectedly ford a stream in them, and, I kid you not, my foot that was momentarily submerged was somehow dry a couple minutes after it had been soaked. I did spray them with waterproofing beforehand, but water still got in just due to having crevices for the tongue and laces. But they were apparently magical and wicked water out of the inside. Worth every penny- which, I know, is a lot of pennies. Save up, it'll be worth it to get such a solid shoe.

Started with Primal, then Mariner and now Boulder Boot. Can literally wear them all day without feeling like I need to take my shoes off. Followed guide for boot sizing. No break-in needed. So glad to ditch my rigid hard toed boots. Walking, hiking, biking. ..good for whatever you wear them for. So stylish too! Lot's of toe room. I moved to Lems after leg and ankle breaks left me with short Achilles and restricted ankle movement creating balance issues. Zero drops have been a lifesaver and I love my Lens!

In june, I completed an 82 mile backpacking trip in New Mexico. Rugged Trek #24. We climbed two mountains, Tooth of Time and Baldy. I had been training in zero drop shoes before switching to Boulder Boots so my feet and muscles were ready for the change. I wanted light boots. My pack was 18lbs before food and water. Loaded I was around 35 lbs. The boots made it through the trip and I was never in pain, and no blisters. I also used trail toes to avoid blisters. The boots were comfortable to wear in camp after the long days. They really held up great overall and the lack of a heel was not an issue. I added an after market rock plate just for more protection. The leather at the toe separated from the sole a little. I was able to super glue it back together when I got back. The cavas held up great with no cuts or tears from any of the sharp rocks of which there were a lot. They got wet a couple of times and dried quickly. When the trails were wet they got slick in places. The traction was a little dicy at those times.. The leather along the side and front of the boot is showing signs of cracking. I have tried to treat it with some leather lotion. The leather at the heels take the Philmont brands very well. A great boot for the trip. No regrets on the choice. I am not sure this pair could make a second trip, but I would buy another pair to go again. I had other friends on the trip who bought much more rigid, heavy and expensive boots for the trip, but these were great for me. If the leather held up better and the toe separation had not started, I would have given the 5 stars.

These were the most comfortable boots I've ever worn and they look cute too. I was looking for wide toe box and minimal boots to wear on my trip to Peru because regular boots kill my feet caused by my bunions. I searched and found that Lems makes boots with a wide toe box. I was worried because I ordered them 5 days before I was leaving and so there would be no time to break them in if I needed to but it wasn't necessary. I wore them all day walking and hiking and my feet felt amazing. Thank you Lems!

Please make a model with a safety toe and puncture resistant sole! These do not fly on industrial jobs, and it would be great if there was a version that did.

Wore these when I submitted Teewinot in Grand Teton National Park. They held up great and did surprisingly well on the actual rock climbing. Although I wouldn't recommend using crampons with these boots, it works it's just uncomfortable.

So far so good, I really like how my feet feel in these boots. They seem to be getting stronger every day.

I love the materials that is use to make these boots. As a techie guy, I am very conscious of static electric discharge, but I don't have any issues with these boulder boots. Which means, that they obviously keep me connected to my surroundings, not only through form and function, but electrically as well. My hats off to Lems for choosing these materials, and for making such awesome footwear in general. Have a wonderful day... I'm having one, cause I'm wearing my lems. :)

My 4th pair of Lems. I just love them in every situation, at the office or outdoor. My kids want the same ones!!!

I have embraced the barefoot lifestyle and was having difficulties finding a boot that would fit my wide forefoot. My foot has spread considerably after wearing mostly barefoot shoes for the past five years and most shoes squeeze the ball of my feet. These boots are great. Lots of room for the forefoot and they allow my foot to follow their natural movement inside the boot. I only wish they made a truely waterproof version since I live in Maine where we have slushy snow 4 months of the year.

Most comfortable things I've ever had on my feet. Amazingly light weight. Everything about the boots was great except for the awkward roundness in the front of the boot as well as the bit on the top of the shoe where the stitching meets just above the toes. Overall the boot exceeded my comfort expectations and slightly fell below my appearance expectations. Also, it is a pretty thick sole for a minimalist shoe. If this shoe were 50$ I would have given it 5 stars.

This is my third pair of Boulder Boots, my brown leather ones are my work boots, my black nylon ones are for hiking and flyfishing (breathable and quick drying), the third pair is an attempt to keep some clean boots! It took me so long to find such a perfect boot, the toe box is wide and roomy, they're truly zero drop, they're tough but light as a feather, there's nothing here in Australia like them. Lems if you stop making these, you'll make a grown man cry..

Wonderful boots. The only draw back is the lack of a Gore-tex liner. The boots become virtually useless on rainy days in the Pacific Northwest and anywhere else that sees consistent seasonal rains. No spray on waterproofing treatment cuts it in any environment that sees even infrequent rainfall. Please make a breathable waterproof version of the Boulder boot, a simple Gore-tex liner, with the material cost and workmanship passed on
Kristin
Not quite as much ground feel as I was hoping for, but definitely the most comfortable shoes I own so I am overall very happy. I have worn them nearly every day since I received them. I am not a shoes-in-the-house kinda gal and I even sometimes forget to take them off when I get home. So comfy!!!
Alli
I've worn these day to day, around town, and on hikes. They're super comfortable and I've gotten tons of compliments whenever I've worn them. I swapped out for the orange laces and I love them. They fit true to size and I wear thin socks. High five!

I recent purchased a pair of the Lems boots after reading several reviews online in preparation for a trip to Ireland where I wanted a pair of lightweight boots that would be comfortable and zero drop for all day wear for almost two weeks. They hug my heels with plenty of room for my toes. I wore them right out of the box for almost two weeks straight with no blisters

In my fifty years on earth, this is by far the most comfortable boot or shoe that I've ever owned. The ability to build foot strength and feel a strong sense of the ground beneath me is unreal. I'll never buy shoes again that have too much support as they are casts which weaken your feet and your overall structure. These boots on the other hand, are featherlight miracles I've waited my entire life for, and for that I'm incredibly grateful.

This is my second pair of Boulder Boots and they are, without question, the most comfortable shoe I've ever worn. Now, I just need to complete my collection and own a pair in every color!

This boot immediately became my everyday footwear this winter. Surprising warmth and water resistance. I only got cold when at a Nordic ski race standing on frozen ground for an hour at five degrees. My only complaint is that the sole is very slippery when wet, I think a lug sole would help for snow use.

lems boots are amazing. Exactly what I have always wanted in a boot. Extremely comfortable, almost like you are wearing nothing at all. Altho minimal the protection and comfort are there in full. Needs no breaking in, these shoes are designed to be wide and free.

I have very sensitive feet and they get sore almost every day. I have recently realized that any shoes with significant structure make my feet sore. Minimalist shoes (with a cheap Dr. Scholls pad) are what work best for me! Love my Boulder Boots

I already had a pair in black, which I adore - super light and warm - but they are a bit big. So I ordered a size smaller in brown. These are A LOT tighter. Not around the toe box, which is super roomy, but around the middle. There's some small discomfort at the moment, but it's bearable and I'm hoping it will ease with wear. Incidentally we ordered the same style for my husband, and he struggled to even get them on his feet, so tight were they! Those had to go back.

I've been wearing the Boulder Boot for about a week now and I'm just as in love with these as I am with the Primal 2s. They are stylish and garner constant compliments. Not to mention they are comfortable as hell. I haven't used them for any actual boot utility yet but they seem durable enough to work for light hiking. I'm a huge fan of anything Lems and highly recommend these boots.

Very comfortable boot. Great fit. Good quality. Lightweight but durable. Comfortable and flexible sole unit.
