It’s finally here, the zero-drop slip on shoe you’ve been waiting for. Feeling lazy and don’t want to bother with laces? Then the Drifter is the answer! We incorporated a nifty heel feature that allows the back to collapse, converting the Drifter into an even more slip on-able shoe that we’re pretty sure you’re going to love. We used cotton canvas and microfibre in the design, which keeps this shoe 100% vegan
#Vanlife, working from home, or chilling at camp? The Drifter may never leave your feet. Built on the same last as the Boulder Boot, you’ll find the same fit and feel in the Drifter.
The cotton canvas upper uses an open-weave mesh to allow for ample airflow and better moisture-wicking abilities, and the elastic liners stretch to fit your unique foot shape. The cork insole molds to your foot, and if you want a little extra wiggle room, just simply remove it from the shoe.
When you want more of a slipper style shoe for a quick errand, simply fold down the microfibre heel and insert that foot right on in. When you need the support, flip it back up and it’s back to a traditional slip on. We told you it’s nifty.
If your foot is on the more narrow side, you may want to consider a sock with this shoe. Heck, even if you just want to wear it with a sock, that’s ok, too. We know, it’s a fashion faux pas, so just avoid strutting the catwalk to avoid the haters. You won’t find any judgement from us.
ZERO-DROP Places the forefoot and heel flat to the ground correcting posture, aligning your spine, and encouraging mid-foot strike.
WIDE TOE BOX Unlike traditional footwear that squeeze the toes together, our foot-shaped toe box allows for maximum room giving the toes ultimate freedom to wiggle and spread.
CORK FOOTBED By adding an ultra-thin 0.8mm cork top layer, your foot will be feeling the benefits of natural coolness and comfort, with or without socks.
COLLAPSABLE HEEL The microfibre heel pops down for quick slipper style access! Looking for added support? Simply flip it back up and the Drifter transforms back to a traditional slip on.
We Believe Your Feet Deserve Better
The foot and ankle is a complex mechanical structure made up of 26 bones, 33 joints and over 100 muscles, tendons and ligaments.
The average person takes 8,000-10,000 steps each day. That adds up to approximately 185,000 km's in a typical lifetime—the equivalent to circling the globe more than four times!
Your feet have about 250,000 sweat glands which produce up to a cup of perspiration each day.
There are approximately 8,000 nerves in the feet—that’s more per square centimeter
In an average day of walking, your feet experience forces totalling hundreds of tons—the equivalent of a fully-loaded cement truck.
Women experience foot problems four times more often than men. This is largely attributed to shoe choice. High heels and toes with pointy, narrow toe boxes cause multiple foot issues.
Natural Foot Shaped, Flexible, Flat & Lightweight
Barefoot shoes mirror the shape and the natural curve of the feet, allowing them to move as nature intended. ... Barefoot Shoes not only strengthen all the muscles in the foot, but they also help the foot develop in the correct way to prevent deformities. Strengthening your feet by exercising and wearing minimalist shoes can improve your posture and prevent pain and injuries.
For many people, barefoot shoes also provide relief and improvement for existing problems like knee pain, back pain, bunions, and more.
