Our Fit recommendation for this shoe based on customer feedback: We recommend ordering 1/2 size bigger in this model. Some people will need to order a full size up. Please use the sizing tools available to determine your size.

If you don't know your normal US size, or would like to double check sizing for this model, please use the sizing tools we have provided here like this:

1. Print out our Printable Size Guide for this model and stand on it - making sure your printer is set to 100% Scale. Choose the size where your longest toe finishes. If you are on the line, consider if you will be wearing thick socks, or prefer to have less or more space in your shoes and choose accordingly.

2. Use our Strutfit online sizing app to check your feet measurement and it will tell you what size to order - Click on "WHAT IS MY SIZE?" above. You will need an a4 sheet of paper and a smartphone for this. Once you have done this once, it will also tell you what size you need for all the other shoes on our website as you browse through other models.

3. Use the sizing chart provided which shows the insole length and width of the shoe which you can use to compare the measurements against another pair of shoes that fit you well. Or you can compare them with a sizing chart from another brand and work out your size that way. This is not a fool-safe way though, as the volume and material in the upper of the shoe can also make a big difference to the fit so best to use this in conjunction with one of the other sizing methods.

We don't recommend manually measuring your feet to work out sizing, as in our experience most people measure incorrectly without the use of a proper tool such as a brannock device.

Our standard shipping rate starts from $9.95, Australia Wide with Authority to leave.

When you give authority to leave, you are allowing our carriers to leave the package unattended at your address without a signature. Please note if you opt to leave your order unattended, Bprimal will not be responsible for any lost or stolen packages.

You can elect to have your package delivered with a signature on delivery for an additional $2 fee.

Express Shipping is also available from AU$16.95 (2-4 business days)

International Shipping is available to New Zealand from AU$19.95

All orders placed prior to Midday (AEST) will be dispatched the same day (business days Mon-Fri) with the exception of Sale Periods where we may experience up to 3 day delay for dispatch.

RETURNS

If your order isn’t right for you, you can return it for a refund* or exchange within 30 days of receiving your order. Item must be unworn and in BRAND NEW condition in original box with tags still attached (if applicable). Please note that postage costs to return the item(s) to bprimal remain the customers responsibility with the exception of customers that have purchased our Free Return Guarantee.

Nice shoe. Takes a little getting used too

Fit true to size, maybe a little narrower than other wide toe box but look much nicer. I like the little extra support in soleplate. The higher fit on the the ankle takes getting used to, it's a little stiff so have to wear it in. Buy I like them

A solid, comfortable shoe

I was introduced to minimalist shoes with the Vivobarefoot Primus Lite which is, I read after wearing for a few months, a pretty hardcore minimalist shoe. The Lems Chukka, therefore, feel a bit sturdier than what I had grown used to and would probably make it a better transition shoe than my Vivos were. The Chukkas are wide in the toe box and very comfortable as a result. The fabric of the upper feels strong - so much that on the first few wears it was quite rigid, but this seems to be softening with wear. The upper is also tightly knit and stops splashes of water getting through, but I wouldn't trust these in an extended downpour. The sole is flexible but not as much as I had grown used to, so for anyone new to minimalist shoes, this won't overload you with sensitivity in the sole if your foot.
The sizing is a little tricky, I looked on the Lems website and measured my foot, and also had a chat with Faye on the bprimal site, and the best size for me ended up being 1.5 sizes smaller than what Lems' sizing chart suggested.
Otherwise, my experience buying with bprimal was great; quick, friendly and reliable advice and great customer service.

I love the shoes, a little stiff at first but now they have been worn in and can’t believe how comfortable they are.

I’d given up hope of standing up at a show for long periods because of my Morton’s neuroma unless I wore shoes 2 sizes too big. Then I discovered these and my life has changed for the better.

Nice shoes but the wrong shape for me

I really wanted to like these shoes. I have bought quite a few shoes from bprimal before, so I was confident the sizing tool was accurate for my size. I bought the recommended size, but when it arrived it looked too big and felt too roomy on my feet. I returned it for the smaller size. When this arrived, they looked really nice on, but the toe box seemed too shallow. So I applied some leather stretcher and all seemed good. They are ok for short walks, but on longer walks, I experienced pain and bruising in my 2nd toe and toe nail. It turns out the be lenka shoes are a more extreme barefoot shape than my foot, as my big toe is shorter than my 2nd toe. They are lovely shoes, and I do still occasionally wear them, but disappointed I couldn't use them the way I wanted to. So, check the shape of your feet before you buy these!

A dream to walk in

I have Morton’s neuroma and capsulitis on both feet and this allows my toes to spread and not need an orthotic. Fantastic! I bought the white then the black. They are also incidentally a very cute and trendy style.
