I love the foot bed. Hate the strap between the toes. Very uncomfortable.

I had a hard time getting them adjusted - just because it's new and different. Once I got the hang of it (watched the YouTube video) I have been playing with it to see what feels best.

I have been on the hunt for a barefoot shower / to-from outdoor swim / water fun shoe for a while and Shamma is hands down THE BEST option. The sole is so grippy even when your feet are wet or if the floor/ground is wet. Also, they feel so sturdy like they are going to last a long time. I am so happy with my purchase I keep telling my friends and family they all need Shamma footwear in their life.

I know online they might look like they aren't worth the price, but once you get a pair you won't regret it.

I've just bought a second pair of these after 3 years on road and trail, including 2 half marathons. Incredibly durable, and the velcro straps haven't let me down. Only a little tweaking needed for the new pair and I was off again. Slight rubbing on the instep to begin with but nothing serious, and to be expected. Always a conversation starter, and I'm very grateful to Shamma for making these - without them I would probably have given up running by now.

My use case is everyday life not epic wilderness hikes. I’ve tried various Shamma sandals and these are my personal favorites. I like the thickness of and grip. Excellent, will buy again.

Hi, I just spent 3 weeks in Yosemite and my Shamma Sandals were the best sandal to wear camping. They stayed on when walking in the Merced River by wearing my power straps. Thanks!

Good morning.. Maximus is very good. The sole thickness is perfect for summer. Not too thin and not too thick...
The straps are a bit unstable.. especially when they get wet.. when I walk in creeks the straps adjust.. when used dry they sometimes adjust but less so but the top loops are getting tighter.
Nevertheless, I am very satisfied..
With the Super Gotes I can say that they are very comfortable to wear.. unfortunately the leather on the right sandal has come off in the front area.. about a quarter of the area.. I will try to glue it back on.. although the strap system on the Gotes only Since it can be adjusted in two places, this system is more stable. I never go into wet areas with it.

Planning to be a lifelong customer. My feet have never felt better than in these sandals!

I have loved wearing my Maximus sandals since day one. I had no break in period like I did with previous barefoot sandals. I love how light weight and flexible they are but still have an awesome grip for hiking. Most other sandals that are similar in thickness have no grip. The elite strap system is better than all other brands also. It's a comfy and secure fit. My husband wears Luna's and was sure that me trying Shamma was a mistake until he saw and felt them. He says he will buy Shamma's too now. I'm very happy with my purchase:)

This is my third pair of shammas I'm not really enjoying my new ones because the new lacing constantly lossens up. I have my old cracked warm out pair on right now because if I get them wet it slides. I also liked the first pairs lacing through and around the sandal. I'm not a fan of the plugs. So I was at a 5 for the first pair 4 for the second and now I'm like neutral on them. Sadly because the first pair I can even tell you how many hiking kms are on those sandals and I wore them every day it was warm enough. Not sure these new.ones will get as many kms.

I like the looks and comfort of this sandal! I’ve only been wearing barefoot shoes for a year now, and personally don’t know anybody that wears minimalist shoes. In shopping for sandals, I wanted something that looked more like flip-flops, and these fit the bill. For me, the Shamma Maximus sandal break-in period was very quick. They are very comfortable. I’ve heard people say before, “I forgot I had them on”. I noticed that for me last night. After getting home, I didn’t immediately take them off, as I forgot I had them on.

This was my first pair of Shamma sandals and I love them! The sandals are extremely well made and comfy right out of the box. I really like that they are very easy to adjust and they feel great on my feet. I've been wearing barefoot shoes for quite a number of years now and I am glad to finally try Shamma sandals! They are fantastic sandals!

Sandals are good so far. Set a top 10 strava time in them. But they do not protect against 1.5in thorns unfortunately. Good other than that.

One of the straps is too short (the one connecting from the toes to the outside of the foot ) and I worry about it coming loose in the future. But other than that, they are pretty comfortable and easy to walk in.

I love these sandals. I wear them all the time. Definitely will buy again.

I've been wearing homemade running sandles for years, but finally wanted something more adjustable and socially acceptable lol. This are perfect. I could easily see myself buying these for life

The lacing system on these sandals (I have the Maximus and Mountain Goat) never cease to amaze! It's incredible how little fussing with the lacing is required to get a secure feeling fit. Other systems take a lot messing around with the laces to get them to fit right -- to eliminate hot spots, and sections that are always too tight, then too loose. This system is somehow perfect from the get go!

Also, since no part of the actual lacing makes contact with the ground you can be sure that they will last as long as the foot bed does (which I can't say for other systems).

Anyway, as far as the Maximus's footbed goes, it's the ideal general purpose sandal! Its got amazing traction without being too thick. Yet, it's thick enough to hit the occasional gravel patch on trails comfortably.

I opened the box and went right for a 10km run @5min km. It was incredible! In my other running sandals, I was getting blisters between the toe, and I would always need to tighten. These Maxim's sandals stayed tight the entire run without the power straps, zero blisters, and a perfect ground feel. I can tell the side post will take some time to break in and adapt to my feet. I find the strap post closest to my pinky toe, digs in, and pulls my foot to the other side. This is based on my foot anatomy, I’m sure it works great for others. My shoe size in the Altra Superior is 9, and 8.5 in the Lone Peak. I decided to go with size eight based on the printout guide. I could have gone 8.5, but it's my preference when running. When running, I like my toes to be at the end with as little material as possible—excited to see how they feel after they break in. I highly encourage you to try them out. Happy running, everyone.

I really like them. It has taken a little time to adjust them to my feet, but they work well.
The longest run I have done so far was a little over 8 kms, very pleased.

Absolutely love them. They are my 2nd pair and I've recommended them to all my FB friends.

I've long been known to never wear closed shoes because they feel like hooves on my feet. But now, that I've gotten used to these, other sandals *also* started feeling like hooves. That's how comfy the warriors are. To my surprise, the strap between the toes isn't annoying at all, usually I don't like those. I think I'm stuck with these now.

My feet aren't quite strong enough yet to run any serious distance in them, but I use them as my everyday shoes, and love the freedom of being able to just run back from work on a whim. Totally recommended!

These are the best sandals I have ever purchased. I have been wearing nothing but sandals for the last two years. The barefoot feeling, while still being protected is perfect with this pair.

As much as I support natural shaped footwear, I did not enjoy wearing this sandal. It is a pain to wear, I walk forefoot-first, and the toe strap rides up/digs in-between my toes. I have watched the tutorial videos with no success. The quality of the materials is superb- no issues there. But unfortunately, I won't be wearing these anymore. I assume they are past returning, as I truly gave them a chance. Great quality sandal- just not for me.

I was nervous to choose my first pair of barefoot sandals but settled on the warriors and I am so happy with them. I printed out the sizing guide and watched the sizing videos. I ordered a men’s 7/ women’s 8 (I usually wear an 8 1/2 or 9 in women’s shoes. They fit perfectly and are so comfortable right out of the box. I usually hate things between my toes but the straps they use are so smooth that it feels great. I can’t wait to hit the trails in these :)

These have exceeded all my expectations and hopes. The Warriors are a little on the thicker side, expected at 9mm, but still have great ground feel and flexibility.

They feel like they’ll be secure and durable over the long run. Fit to size, easy to adjust fitting, and so so comfortable!

It took me a couple runs to figure out how I needed to adjust the straps for maximum comfort and fit, but now that I have I exclusively use them for my marathon training and sometimes for everyday use as well!

I’ve been so impressed and surprised by how much I love these shoes. I think they’re my favorite shoes ever. They’re flattering enough to feel cute wearing out and super rugged. They also perform very well when wet and dry pretty quick. I’m basically living in them now and will 100% wear them out and purchase again.
