Shamma - Mountain Goats (Vegan) - UltraGrip (Unisex) CLEARANCE

I'm really happpy with the Shamma Mountain Goats. Nowadays Shamma call these sandals Elite Alphas. They have great grip and I highly recommend printing their size templates and studying the overall clearance around the foot. I did this and avoided getting a size too big. I also invested in the power straps and these have made them feel even more secure.

The sandals are incredibly comfortable and perfect for long walks build like tank.

I bought these for my daughter as I have shammas and very happy with them. I am dissappointed that they are gender neutral. I think mine were a womens shoe. My daughter has dainty long feet that are very female. Gender neutral means a mans shoe - a compromise and it looks like she's wearing a mans shoe. Womens only shoes from now on

So far so good. Really like the way they can adjust.

So, I've been contemplating trying Shammas out for several years, but for whatever reason never moved forward with a purchase. Until now.

I was in the market for some new running footwear and I have been tired of my little toes pounding the inside of my previous shoes (yes, they were wide, but not sandal wide). After purchasing a pair of Elite Alphas for my wife for her everyday summer footwear, I decided to go ahead and snag a pair for myself and just commit to using them for my go-to footwear whenever close toed shoes are not required.

I have been super pleased from the moment I got the straps dialed in. I have only gotten out to run in them once (5k distance), but was very happy with the experience. They're super comfortable without being "pillowy" and they seem to be very well made and I anticipate getting some decent longevity out of them.

I'm grateful for the quality and care that Shamma puts into this product.

I usually wear sandals that don't go between the toes or ones with the toe loop. I wanted to try the Mountain Goats and can handle it. With the strap going towards the outer side of the foot instead of straight down makes them very comfortable. I'm very pleased and then purchased the leather Super Goats. I definitely think the power straps are very beneficial.

As usual with all my other Shamma sandals, the elite lacing system works perfectly after the ordinary initial adjustments. The thick sole of the mountain goats is ideal for stony trails, but it is flexible enough to be occasionally used on asphalt or concrete sections. I also love the confortable feeling of the leather footbed, although I will try not to use them on wet conditions. I definitely recommend these sandals!

I had been running exclusively in another [the other] top name in the sandal business. But the MG’s have taken top spot. Its as if someone else was asking the same questions I had been asking myself about how the running sandal could be improved - and Shamma did it. Everyone’s using Vibram soles and some kind of proprietary, grippy top/footbed, Shamma’s no different, but they've got it in the lacing department. Invariably, your sandals (during a run) will need a little tweak, tighten here loosen a bit there. These do it in an instant, without having to remove the sandal and take 5 minutes to weave more lacing into the heel, and pull it around, etc.! - A real pain in the ass. These adjust in more like 5 seconds, if that.
Top billing in my book, thus far...

I ordered size Shamma size 8.5. The length and width were perfect. They are very well made. However, I have problem feet (pain in ball of my feet) that made them too uncomfortable for me to wear. Regretfully, I decided it would be best to return them.

I wish I had discovered Shamma sandals sooner! I am a super active person who has embraced the barefoot/minimalist lifestyle since its inception. However, if I did not want to wear shoes and could not go barefoot, the only option was to wear regular sandals or flip flops when I surf or for a casual walk around town. The problem is that your toes have to grip the regular sandals or flip-flops. In contrast, the heel strap in the Shamma Sandals Mountain Goats allows you to spread your toes so you can walk naturally. It is super lightweight and feels like you are almost walking barefoot. The Mountain Goats are super easy to get into and out of. I not only use them to go around town but also on hikes and to walk to my surf spots. Highly recommend these sandals!

Shamma sandals are my most comfortable of all - and I have been wearing sandals for over 50 years. Well-built, easy to adjust, and walkable for kms. The Mountain Goats have a great footbed that can handle any terrain with no issues. Go buy a pair or two of these awesome sandals!

Great experience! This is my second pair of Shamma sandals and I love them. My feet crave them! So comfortable, stylish and makes my feet stronger. My back feels great too. I’ve had back surgeries in the past and deal with sciatic nerve issues. These shoes make my back feel great! Highly recommend them for all activities!

My mountain goats are my go-to sandal and I love them! The fact you adjust them from more than one place makes them fit perfectly. The footbed is the grippiest I’ve found. I now have two pair of mountain goats, one with leather and one without. My other sandals are no longer worn and I will likely be selling them. These sandals are amazing!

Actually my second pair this year! Purchased the Old Browns first and had not worn a sneaker to walk since May. I walk an average of 8.5 kms/day. My feet have never felt better!

My first pair lasted almost 6 years. They became my go-to after work and weekend footware...they were previously my pre-dawn running sandals until one a.m. during full stride, the very exact ball of my right foot landed squarely upon an acorn, they pain was crazy! This pair of Goats has a thicker sole than my huarache like previous pair, who knows, maybe I'll try running in them again. Either way, I am a huge fan of Shamma sandals and never fail to share just how much I love them whenever I am asked about them. The quality and craftsmanship is recognized and appreciated!!

This is my first pair of Shamma Sandals and I already want to get more so I can wear these for the rest of my life. Literally since they have arrived I have not worn another shoe all summer. They are so comfortable and lightweight, it feels like I'm barefoot. At the same time, I take them on trails and they are sturdy enough to handle the mixed terrain. I can't believe Shamma figured out how to do it all in one shoe, I am totally in love

this is my 2nd pair of Shamma Sandals, and I still love it.

Been a Shamma fan for about 5 months now and these were my 4th pair. Wanted these for a hike that I was going out of town for, but I kinda fumbled and ordered them kind of late. These sandals were AWESOME on my hike! Fully submerged in water, going over rocks and all that. Cannot wait to put them through some more hell. These were the thickest pairs I’ve gotten so far so it did feel kind of weird..

The sandals took a little tweaking, the right foot more than the left, but once the adjustment was done, so easy to slip in and out of them. Incredibly comfortable too. Summer's been broiling, so I'm in my sandals everywhere. The leather footbed makes them look a little more "dressed". Love them so much!

These are hands-down the best sandals I have ever worn. They are great all-around sandals, but to my surprise, I really like them for running. After owning these for only a couple of weeks I ordered a pair of super browns for everyday use and Ibex for hiking. If it is warm enough for sandals I’ll be rockin’ Shammas.

Thanks for an alternative that I haven't had since a back injury created a drop foot. I can't control an open heeled flip flop, so haven't worn them for years. I'm also looking for just some straps to install on my old flip flops that would do the same thing since i have so many.

The sandal was the exact size that I expected after trying the printed out sandal profile. The sandal is pretty comfortable after adjusting.

Great. Just wish they cost less because they are made of not a lot of material.

I wear these every day! My first barefoot sandals, so I ordered the slightly thicker sole. I wear them around town more than "off-road" so if I were to make one change it would be to order with the leather footbed next time. Great sandals.

I really like that this sandal has the 2 different velcro straps. It makes it really easy to do a quick on/off or adjustment. They were a perfect swap out from flip flops and water sandals. I got the thickest sole, but was a bit surprised by how rigid they felt - but I guess I wouldn't want it to be too soft. I really appreciate the printable foot sizes!

Wow, these are great sandals. I was looking for a way to deal with nagging toenail injuries from long-distance running and I bought a pair of Mountain Goats. I carry them in my bag on long runs in case I need them, I use them for my daily six mile walks, hikes, and wear them all day at work. I will certainly buy more pairs of these sandals. They are holding up well and look great with a pair of Injinji socks!

I love my Mountain Goats. They are super comfortable and stylish. I've been wearing them everyday since i've gotten them. Once these wear out, I'm looking forward to trying out their other styles.

I love the sandals. They're light and comfortable, so I hardly know I have them on. The soles are soft but protect my feet from rocks and roots. My toes need a very wide sole and often hang over the sides of other sandals - not so here.
