I just love my Shamma -Warriors-Ultragrip . They are extremely comfortable because the lace adjustments work so well . It is like wearing no shoes at all but with protection for the soles . 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👍👍👍🤸‍♂️

Great sandals; these are my second pair. I use these every day on my run. So light and flexible.

Looking for a true barefoot sandal after developing a Morton's Neuroma last year and these are just the ticket. Have been wearing them around the house for a couple of weeks and today took them for a good walk (5ks). No issues, very comfortable and my feet love them.

I am unable to wear the shamma sandals as the sole has no rigidity at all. And easily bent under as I walked if the toe caught on the grass. This nearly caused me to fall. After persevering for a few days I have given up and cannot return them as they have been worn.

These sandals are excellently designed and made. I especially like the Elite strapping system that allows you to really ‘dial in’ the fit. I ordered slightly small and had to exchange them for one size up - but that’s because I didn’t allow enough space on the printed sizing template! Which leads me to praise bprimal for their efficient exchange policy. It’s so helpful for ordering minimalist shoes which are only available to most of us online. Especially as I live in Aotearoa/NZ. Excellent sandals, excellent service.

I bought these for beach walks because I love going barefoot, but sometimes you can’t . I walked over asphalt , hot sand, wet sand,
pebbles and rock for hours each day in perfect barefoot comfort.

I was skeptical about sizing. I usually wear an 11.5 and based on the Shamma sizing guide I ordered a 9.5. They fit perfectly and video on how to measure your foot for the sizing worked very well.

My Elite Warriors are the perfect combination of durability and minimalist and will now be part of my essential trip packing for guiding in the Peruvian Andes.

Hoping to try out the power straps at some point.

I am impressed with the sole. Thin and only one piece, no danger of ungluing. I would give a 5 star to the sole. But i have problems with the straps. First i am not fun of velcro for use outdoors because it tends to be filled with vegetation. Second the system rubs on my ankle quite badly. So i had to substitute de straps for those of my old lunas and now it works like a charm. I like how thin they are. It is a minimalist shoe, do not complicate it. All you need is a durable sole and a durable strap.

Lightest sandals I could find for backpacking. The fit was good and they are more secure than I expected. They appear fairly robust for their weight. Time will tell.

I've worn Shamma sandals (warriors) for almost 2.5 years. They are now wearing thin, but I have worn them extensively walking and running on trails and pavement alike. Minimalist shoes/sandals aren't for everyone, but these sandals provide the lightness of being barefoot with just enough protection to run with confidence.

I’ve had the warriors for a couple of weeks now and they are such a joy to run in. The terrain around where I live can be quite rough, these stand up to toughness of the terrain though. The strap around the middle of the toe took me two runs to get use to it but now it fits snug. Thank you, would recommend

After doing some extensive world travel with a sandal/shoe from another company I was looking for something a bit better and I think I may have found them with Shamma. I've started with the warrior as my primary off-road "shoe" and am very impressed! I was afraid the lacing between my toes would be an issue but they actually enhance the support but don't irritate like I've experienced with others. I like them so much initially that i purchased the browns for when i know I'll be spending too much time on concrete and pavement. I'm really looking forward to putting them to the test the next few months.

I have ran two half marathons in these. Both were brutal but these sandals held up great. Also they tend to get a lot of stares when you run any distance in these things. Also, since I have trained in these, I find “normal” running shoes to be unbearably uncomfortable.

I've been looking for a convenient and long-lasting sandal with a barefoot feel. The warriors have met that and are my most-worn footwear in warmer seasons.

The strapping was a little difficult to understand at first, but I was given thorough instructions. It takes “engineering” patience to get the fit just right. The comfort level was “spot on” after that.

Absolute favorite footwear for wet weather when something more substantial isn't necessary. I look forward to buying and trying out the goat skin version for jogging when it's dry out. I am so completely gratified by this purchase, I feel it is rare to be able own and use a product that is so functional that also satisfies my minimalist itch.

This is my first pair of Shamma and I have to say that they are beyond my expectations, the materials are excellent and the fit was perfect for me, I love the weight and the way they fit my feet, really nice products

Very comfortable and high quality sandal

Pretty good. I have very flat feet with pronation. I wear orthotics at times. I like to walk around for a while each day barefoot to strengthen the intrinsic small muscles of the feet. The Warriors work well. They are possibly a tad too thin. Walking here in Midwest with acorns or small stones is a problem.. I got some toe socks and wore them with the Warrriors. They provide some additional cushion

I finally retired my first pair of Warriors after 4 years and upgraded to the leather footbed version. Wow—these are perfection! The Warriors are, hands down, the best sandals ever created. I do everything in them—walking, running, hiking, you name it. They're my daily drivers, the perfect minimalist footwear.

I bought the shoes last summer. At the beginning i had difficulties with the straps and didn't really know how to adjust them so that everything fits well.
In the meantime i am so satisfied, that i bought a second pair, which i wear in the house and in the office, because walking barefoot is not possible.

I've had the leather sandals for over 4 year and they are still going strong! I am almost always barefoot, but when I have to wear something, these are my go-to. They have held up on everything from cities to hikes! I do have to say the leather footbed gets slippery when wet, so if you plan on using these in a rainy area, the ultragrips are the way to go.

I haven't taken care of the leather at all, so it is cracked, but they are still as comfy and functional as ever! The strap adjustments are spot-on, and it fits my foot well, even having Morton's Toe.

I have several barefoot sandals from several brands but I really loved these from the first wear.
So thin and light, the straps are comfortable, what else can I say
I hike with my dog on leash and they have traction in going up and slowing down, great on sand.
No complains for the feel of the center plug, it gives my feet the idea of still being walking in the wild :)
And now let's see how long will they last, because if they last too, they are perfection||

I previously had a pair of the Warriors with the leather footbed. Something has changed to this version... the straps are a bit longer (mostly a good things), and it seems to sit on my foot a bit differently. However, it's all and all still an awesome minimalist sandal.

I keep coming back to these (3rd pair), as they offer the best ground feel and a mix of durability and aesthetics.

Are Shammas only good for running?

Not at all. While they’re amazing for running, they’re built for all kinds of movement and everyday wear. Wear them on a hike, a walk through town, or just to kick back. They’re performance sandals that keep up with your lifestyle.

Can I wear Shammas in wet conditions?

Yes — especially the UltraGrip models, which are waterproof, quick-drying, and ideal for everything from stream crossings to rainy adventures.

Leather editions handle normal foot sweat well, but they don’t love being soaked. Wet leather can feel slippery and may change color, which is totally natural for that material. For full immersion (like swimming or river trekking), pair your sandals with Power Straps for extra hold.

How long does it take to break them in?

Not long. Within a few days, the toe strap will soften, followed by the heel straps and laces. Around the 1–2 week mark, the soles will mould beautifully to your feet, and by 3–4 weeks, they’ll feel like a second skin. Think of it as your sandals “hugging” your feet—like finding your favourite spot on the couch.

Can you feel the toe plug underfoot?

Nope. Toe plugs are counter-sunk and sit flush with the sole, so you won’t notice them. The only exception is with Warriors soles, where you might feel the plug briefly during break-in. Once the sole forms around your foot, it blends right in.

Are the soles protective?

Yes — they protect while still giving you that barefoot ground feel. The Warriors sole offers the most natural connection to the ground, while the TrailStar Omega sole provides the most protection. Over time, the sole moulds to your unique footprint for a custom fit.

Will the laces wear out if they touch the ground?

Not at all. Shamma laces are built tough and last as long as the sandal (and usually beyond). Even if they graze the ground, they won’t wear through thanks to the way the sole lifts and protects them.

How do I care for my Shamma Sandals?

They’re made to last, but a little care keeps them happy:

UltraGrip sandals: Wash with cool water and mild soap if needed. Air dry away from direct heat, sunlight, or steam.
Leather sandals: Use a suitable Leather Cleaner + Conditioner for the best results.

Tip: Avoid leaving your sandals in extreme conditions (intense heat, cold, or moisture). They’re fine on your feet during adventures, but storing them in harsh conditions can damage their shape or materials.

Are Shamma sandals vegan?

All UltraGrip top models are vegan. Just look for the UltraGrip footbed option when choosing your pair.

Easy 5 Stars. These boots are by far the most comfy boots i have ever used. The Chelsea Tuff have a far better sole than the standard Chelsea boot. Far more durable and for a small amount extra. I origionally started with them and the sole were a bit of a let down only lasting for around three months of constate use for work. I desided to give the Chelsea tough ones a go as the boots were very comfy and the soles have lasted me over six months and have a good amount of life left in them still.

I've worn them most days in all conditions for the last 3 years and just bought more for a trip to Europe.

The best all round barefoot shoes. BPrimal recommend go 1/2 size up but for me the the 9.5 US were fine

I wear my Peak9+GTX for golf. Have never had wet feet, in Coffs Harbour that’s a good thing. Very comfortable shoes. Have just bought a second pair so I’m future proof.

Light and comfortable. Loving this boots, I was out all night but didn't have pain on my feet when I got home. My feet didn't feel too tired either. hopefully they are durable as well.

What I hate most about the Boulder Boot Grip WP is the lack of flex

These shoes are probably a 3 star to be fair, but I went with 2 because of the massive disappointment with where Lems have gone with the boulder boot. I freaking love the OG canvas brown boulder boot, I've worn them for years and they are still going, albeit the sole is worn down and not as comfy when I got them several years ago.

What I hate most about the Boulder Boot Grip WP is the lack of flex which makes it feel and perform like a regular boot. Yes, it has a wide toe box and zero drop but you don't get the ground feeling or flex that makes sure your feet do the work and they stay strong and healthy. They are quite heavy for a barefoot shoe too, I was really surprised and its very noticeable compared to the canvas model. Ankle support is way too much, another no no with barefoot shoes - the whole idea is for the foot and ankle to get flexible and strong, they can't with rigid soles and padding around the ankle. Not a fan of the speed hooks either.

They do seem well made, solid, durable and look good but they're not a barefoot shoe. This boot is perfect for people transitioning to barefoot shoes from normal shoes. They are a good first step to get familiar with the wide toe box and zero drop, but I definitely wouldn't recommend for seasoned barefoot shoe wearers. I'm really disappointed Lems are going this way with the boot, I'd love to see them bring back the canvas, a more flexible and lighter model.

The Boulder Boot Grip WP is designed to be a more rugged, weather-resistant option, so it does have a different feel underfoot compared with the lighter and more flexible original Boulder Boot. We appreciate that this won't suit everyone, particularly those who prefer maximum flexibility and ground feel.
