Stiff leather, these need a lot of breaking in...
Sizing: Fit is narrower, 2cm longer, and lower volume than other Freet shoe models I own. I'd recommend going down a full size, however if you have wide toes or bunions, be aware that these run narrower in the toe box. The nubuck leather is very tough and stiff. I've tried a number of ways to soften and stretch the toe box area and none have worked. Be prepared for some hard 'wearing in' before these become comfortable. The rim of these boots is sharp. I've glued some soft garment leather around it to stop it cutting into my ankles. Behind the heel is also tough and abrasive. I've added a soft pad to alleviate this. I already own Freet Mudees and Freet Pace. Both of these are my favourite go-to shoes for pure comfort for my high volume, very wide-toed feet. I was expecting the same from this pair of Richmonds and overall I am disappointed. They're not made for comfort, but would be okay for hard yakka, as they'd take a lot of punishment.
Love these shoes

Only be wearing the new shoes for a few days, but happy with my choices, both LEMS and Freet. Comfortable and flexible.
