These Lems shoes replace my first Lems which were transition shoes. I love the generous toe room and the laces are easy to get comfortable for my fussy old feet, and I truly look forward to my morning walk to exercise my whole foot going up my hill and along the road. The grey colour is great too, sun reflective so on sunny days this helps to keep my feet cool. The size fitting strategy of taking a photo on A4 paper resulted in the perfect size for me. I hope they keep making this shoe or similar, when I wear these out.

The shoe was a little tight. The toes could wiggle nicely as advertised, unfortunately the right foot shoe, across the beginning of the tongue and laces area needed to be wider for me to have a comfortable wear.

I am normally a 10.5 in shoe size however when I received the shoes they were too tight on my right foot. I admit I didn’t print the foot measurements sheet as I got distracted. Before requesting the larger size, I printed the document which indicated I was 11.5. I doubted this was correct although, as they don’t come in half sizes, I thought they would be okay. I was pleased I could return the shoes although the size 11.5 were much too big, even with thicker socks. I have a long narrow foot so unfortunately the Prems 2 were not suited to me. Thankfully my partner bought them off me.

Love my Lems! This is my first pair of barefoot shoes. I’m wearing them with bprimal toe socks and correct toes. I can definitely feel the difference so have been taking it easy to get my feet used to them, gradually increasing my time of wearing per day. I have intertarsal bursitis and they are making a big difference to helping me get through it. Great shoe, great fit, love them!

This is my second pair of Lems primal 2. I got the insoles this time and that little extra cushion under foot makes them even more perfect. I wanted the Mesa shoes but they were a bit too narrow for my wide foot. I also have a pair of the Trailheads in the men’s sizing for extra width and they are great for work when I’m on my feet for hours. They are high quality and I will keep buying Lems brand.

After having foot surgery on both feet & also trying various types of orthotic's both OTC & Prescription. Wished I had known about this footwear 12 years ago. Having regular massages for constant back, leg & foot pain. Now able to do a daily walk 30 minutes & 2 days a week 1 hour walks no problem. Also can now walk barefoot now. Nice pair of shoes. I mostly bought these for fashion - pulled the insole out and really happy with how minimal they are and the generous toe box. They have proven to be excellent accompaniment for when I wear the Correct Toes. I would definitely buy these again. These shoes love your feet. They present or look like a regular mass-market shoe so they don't attract questions from uninformed or misinformed public that don't get or understand minimal shoes. Great product.

The Lems Primal 2 unisex shoe is so different from any jogger or sports shoe I have worn. With my bunions and hammered 2nd toes, I need a wide toe area.
They create a natural heel, toe walk and cradle the feet perfectly.
Have not used them for exercise yet.
Only downside is that I cannot wear my Correct Toes with them (or any time really)

I am usually an 8.5 US size and as they were said to be true to size this is what I ordered. They were too small though as I could feel my toes on the end. I returned them (at my own expense) and bprimal exchanged for 9.5 (free postage). I think a size 9 would be perfect, but not available in this size. I do however find them very comfortable, with no problems wearing in.

I had a great experience with bprimal . Initially I had a problem with sizing but talked to someone on the phone and it was sorted out very quickly . I have worn Lems shoes and now Joe Nimble for years and they are perfect for my feet . Love em. !!!!!!!!!!

Have been using some variation of barefoot shoe for a few years, found the Vivo's tend to be a bit too thin (and a bit goofy looking) and the sole not very durable, similarly with Merrells. These are unobtrusive, dont look too goofy and are super comfortable with the right mix of feel and flexibility with a bit more foregiveness. Have heard good things about sole durability so will see how it goes

I have been thinking about purchasing my first pair of LEMS for over 3 years and I finally did it! I absolutely love them. Over time shoes are getting narrower and narrower; its so nice to have such a wide toe box now. I purchased Lems so I have a shoe I can fit my correct toes in comfortably and the size I got was perfect. If you are unsure what size to get definitely touch base with bprimal and they will assist you as they did for me.

I was excited for my Primal 2s to arrive, and was exceptionally pleased to pop them out of the box and discover that they fit, and felt extremely spacious. I have a problematic bunion on one foot and these shoes were totally pain free. I kept looking down at my feet while wearing them the first few days and expecting to see big floppy clown shoes, but was pleased that the Lems don't look huge given how spacious they are around the toes. I have had trouble with the Lems sizing in the past, so I did some further research on the Lems website. The size chart to measure the length of your foot to find the appropriate size allowed me to find the right fit, rather than following their American/EU size guideline, which doesn't work for me at all.

I have these in slate (so versatile, my favourite colour) and black. Comfortable straight out of the box and not too dorky looking. They are very soft and flexible and I have had no issues with blisters or rubbing. Wide enough for correct toes too. I wear them with jeans, shorts, skirts and casual dresses. I mainly wanted to make a note about size. I am most often a Women's 10 or a Men's 8.5; which puts me between 42 and 43 in Lem's. Based on reviews I went with the 43. They were definitely a little long but felt good around the house so I decided to keep them. Having worn them for a week now I wish I'd exchanged for the 42. They work, but I find I drag the toe in certain situations. I wear these for walking and casual wear as well as at work. I am coming from a Merrell trail glove and found these to be too big a step so I put another thin insole in and they work great. I had to do this with the Merrell initially too but was able to get rid of it after a week or so. These are an attractive shoe (Lem's on the side notwithstanding), well ventilated and fell secure on the foot. Love the wide toebox.

I can not stress the importance of wearing shoes that give you the toe space and zero drop. The minimalist shoe helps keep your sensory nerves of your feet optimally engaged with your brain. The toe box is spacious and helps to keep your toes spaced naturally while walking/running. This is how shoes were meant to be made. Stop cramming your feet in footwear that is only going to give you bunions and gross looking feet. Side note: I have read some other reviews and a bit of advise, read the sizing chart before purchasing and before writing a crap review, try contacting the company and seeing if they can help with whatever issues you may have. However, I have worn big holes into the insoles which you can buy separately on their website IF they ever get them in stock again. So I don't really wear them too much now- I'm waiting for them to get insoles back in so I can use mine again. Maybe it's a ploy to get me to buy another pair???

I recently purchased 2 pair of the Lem Primal and I love them. I have a very wide foot (usually purchase men's D or E width shoes) and was concerned that these may be too narrow. However, they fit great and are one of the most comfortable pair of shoes that I have owned. I will certainly be purchasing more Lem's in the future!

I really like this shoe. I was skeptical of the material when I got them because I had not had a shoe made of similar material before. However, the shoe has held up great and actually washes easier than most shoes I've had in the past. Only stars because I wish I could get longer shoe strings. The strings could be at least 6" longer.

As always i want to give a review based on how much pain relief shoes give me. You see most reviews around based on comfort for healthy people, and doesn't help us with pain much so im gonna do you a favour this time as well. I have the boulder boot during winter, nine2five as casual shoe and now this Primal2. The Primal is the only shoe that has a different outer sole than the rest and i can say that it is even more comfortable than Boulder and nine2five. I wear Lems as casual. As a victim to Plantar Fasciitis i couldn't go with lems for more than an hour at a time at the most. Now im up to 3 hours in Lems so for you that have foot pain, go slow if you're not used to minimalist shoes and over time these will help you strengthen your feet and ankles and gradually youll have less and less pain. Before you go out the door with these i recommend you do some massage with a roller or hard ball under your feet, achilles and deep in your calves as well as stretching your feet, calves and hamstring so you get warm and loosened up which makes your fascia and heel work better with you and not as painful. This way you will have a very good experience with the Primal shoes. When i wore them for the first time it felt like the ground was massaging every part of my foot and it feels really good. A good way to prepare for minimalist shoes also is walking around barefoot as often as you can while home. Slippers and Crocs around the house only weakens your feet and doesn't give your feet the exercise they need. With pain off course, there is a limit so go slow. One last thing people with pain should work on is their strike. Shoes today with elevated heel promotes a heavy heel strike and that's no good when the shock absorbation goes up to your knees and back. Lems shoes will help you to focus on a midfoot or forefoot strike and you will have a pleasurable experience once you got that technique in. Good luck with your recovery. After watching the video on the Lems website about the benefits of a zero sole, I decided to try the Primal 2 shoe. After suffering over a year with the pain of capsulitis, I was willing to try almost anything -- and had in fact already experimented with various other brands of shoes and insoles. Within a week of switching to Lems, I was almost free of pain. Also ordered and thoroughly enjoy the Lems Mariner shoes. Highly recommended.

I bought them to be athletic shoes and now I am wearing them for much more because they are so comfy. It took me a little while to get the sizing right--I normally wear a 7.5 to 8 in other shoes and the size 40 has the right fit.

I wore out my previous shoes to the sub-sole desperately trying to find a shoe with a sturdy thin sole and wide toe box. There are many minimalist shoes on the market, but for some reason the toe box is always so narrow. The instant I put my foot in this shoe, I was relieved. This is my 3rd pair of Lems and they are just as amazing as the nine2five's and boulder boots I have! I've tried a lot of the minimalist footwear on the market and Lems has to be my favorite! They're not overly expensive and they're not too thin where you not only feel stepping on a pebble, but the pebble hurts. I've been wearing minimalist shoes for over a year now and I've finally got rid of my last pair of traditional shoes. Now that I'm only wearing minimalist shoes I've started to notice a difference in my flexibility and posture especially when I'm working out, my hips are way more flexible than they used to be and my squat depth is improving without really focusing on it. One thing I would note, is that the sizes for the Primals are different from the nine2fives and the Boulder Boots. So make sure to double check what size you are when buying new Lems.

I've never liked wearing shoes because they've always hurt my feet. But the day I tried on my first pair of Lems Primal 2 I fell in LOVE with them. They are hands down the most comfortable shoe I've ever worn. Same goes for the hiking boots. I love that Lems are super flexible and lightweight, and the arch and amount of spring are perfect I think. Even when I wear them all day my feet never feel pinched or tired. There isn't anything I don't love about Lems shoes!

When you've had foot problems all your life, and people telling you that you have to wear the heaviest and least flexible pair of sneaks in the store, and it just doesn't cut it anymore, you have to trust your instincts and go against the grain. My first minimalist shoes were Merrells, and they were the best for a while. My feet changed, and these weren't enough for my toes anymore. I then went on a lookout for a new shoe that would fit my requirements, and that would let my toes spread. The Primal 2 was it. I had never bought shoes online before, and was really scared that they wouldn't fit me. Turns out these are so comfortable that I wear them to work as much as for play.

These are hands down the most comfortable shoes I have ever put on my feet. I've been researching ways to work on my posture as it is something I've neglecting my whole life. This lead to my shoe research. I've been trying to find the right zero drop shoe for walking and working out. I've tried another brand and Lems has it right. I find myself wearing these most of the time whenever I need to wear shoes. They weigh practically nothing, are super flexible and straight up ridiculously comfortable. They are very breathable during the summertime. There is also the perfect amount of thickness to protect my feet from walking on extremely hard surfaces such as concrete and asphalt. Thank you Lems for going against the grain to make a high quality product and caring about your customers first rather than only making cheap crap and ruining people's posture like other major corporations. You guys ROCK!!!!!

I just received my Primal 2s and they are an amazing fit right out of the box. They fit with my Correct Toes and are light and airy & even cute! The only problem is, I went with Frost because of the amazing deal and within minutes they were muddy & wet & not so pretty as when they came out of the box...But guess what!? They cleaned up beautifully. Yay Me. Love these shoes! My feet are happy.

when I first wore them for an hour I had some pain in the balls of my feet and I couldn't really tell if my toes were better off or not but now after a couple of weeks my feet feel great, and I'm wearing them everywhere. I wear toe separators at night and I think the Lems are just letting them stay separated during the day. I also had great service when I had to return the shoes for a better size. I'm very pleased with the customer service.

I am a long-distance hiker, and after suffering from severe planter fasciitis I switched to natural footwear (shoes with a zero-drop and foot shaped toe box). I have to say these shoes have been the most comfortable shoes I have ever worn. I have wide feet and the toe box is perfect for me. They are so light and perfect for everything I do. The looks are better then most barefoot/minimalist shoes. The only problem I have is the life of the shoe, after only a few months I have worn through most of the tread of the shoe. Hopefully the Lems will work on the tread life and maybe some other styles/colors in the future!
