Great shoes, have been putting off buying online because I still prefer to try on. However these shoes are very comfortable. I am a casual crossfitter and B grade basketballer and these shoes have suited both activities. For my next shoe I would go up a size as my big toe is close to the edge of the shoe. This does not seem to affect my toes however so I have kept them. My previous barefoot style shoes (not this brand) were a tad too big and that was a more noticeable issue.

Really like the shoes, very snug where they need to be around the heel, and beautifully wide across the forefoot. Personally I just wish the sole rubber was more grippy, I've found them a bit slippery on my bike pedals.

Nice wide toe box... with a mid foot and heel area that fits perfectly snug.
Stack height is goldilocks perfect... assuming like me you think vivobarefoot is too thin and most other runners are too tall.
Size is true, don't overthink it... just buy a pair in your normal running shoe size.

I broke my large toe decades ago. The titanium screw holding my toe together has had the bone grow over the top. This is painful with pressure and gotten worse over recent years. This shoe is the first time I've been able to go throughout the day with zero pain. I can distribute the weight of my foot across all my toes and don't have pressure on my big toe. I will be interested to see how they fair for quality since I normally buy leather, stitched soled footwear. They are super light, incredibly comfortable, and really enjoy the feel of the ground under my feet.

Pretty good quality. For sizing I used template provided by bprimal, and they feel good. Width wise in my experience they are as wide as vivo, but they have more volume. While walking, they feel quite soft compared to vivo.

Hi, I've given top marks because the shoes are very comfortable and they arrived quickly. Unfortunately after only the first two days, the inside of the right shoe has parted (see my picture) in a high flex area. Other than that section, the rest of the shoes construction seems to be of high quality. Hopefully the fault was a small misstep in the construction process and the remaining joins hold up because I can see myself always wanting to wear these shoes. It would be good to hear from you how I can best fix this seam.

I work in the hospitality world and can wear out shoes in a matter of weeks, so to be put on to these Australian owned company as a option to go with, I am stoked….

Bought these for my high school aged grandson as school sports shoes. He has never been a fan of conventional shoes and has always spent his out of school hours barefooted or in thongs if footwear is needed.

These are my second par of Primal 2, with other purchases being the Boulder and Primal Pursuits. These shoes are great with some considerations for running. Like all more minimalist shoes there is a prolonged period that you need to adjust to the type of running. However I was able make the transition over the course of two shoes and was able to achieve Buffalo stampede 2022 Australia 42km. The shoes performed well with holding up in durability, although you do have to pick your footing to avoid bruising the under foot. The biggest issue was the mountainous design of the course along with rain saw these shoes lose traction at times. (Which is kinda expected with the heavy rain). I was planning to run with the pursuits but they arrived too late.
Bottom line, great shoes and will purchase again but just know the limitations of this great shoes. Cheers

These were my first barefoot shoes. First of all, they fit perfectly. I was quite apprehensive about buying shoes online (as I am usually hopeless in person and always suffer the awkward first weeks breaking in new shoes). However, I found the guide to be straightforward and accurate. They slipped on and felt fine from day one. The shoes look fine, and they feel good to walk with. The main concern I have with barefoot shoes is how long they last considering the thin outsole. Time will tell... One word of caution, these shoes are very breathable so if you live in a very cold place like me your feet will feel it more. It also means a rainy day is not a good day to wear these. I wear these as my general shoes for everyday use, but switch things up in bad weather!

Excellent shoe. Was apprehensive as I’d never worn a barefoot shoe and wasn’t sure of the fit. I am broad through my whole foot and typically wear a US14 in a 4E width. I brought a 14 and I have plenty of room throughout. No problem with space. Only thing is the outsole is wearing fairly quickly. Other than that, they’re awesome. Will buy again.

I love my Lems! This is my first experience with barefoot/zero drop shoes and after a month I really don't see myself ever buying another type of shoe.
They are so comfortable, and lightweight yet have all the functionality of any other shoe. You really don't get the relief feeling of taking shoes off at the end of the day because when you're wearing Primal 2s you constantly have that feeling.
My only concern prior to buying was that the toe box might appear too broad and look unusual. But my opinion has changed and I really don't see anything strange about the appearance.

A tried and tested favourite. I love moving around in these shoes. My feet feel so happy! They are great for martial art style practices, too, as the sole is thin and flexible. I wear them for Qigong practice when the ground is too cold to go barefoot, or I'm on concrete.

These Primal 2 are really excellent shoes. For a basis of comparison on comfort I have both Brooks Glycerin 19 and Brooks Ghost 14. The reason I gave 4 stars instead of five stars is because like other shoe makers they leave short a couple of things that would make for perfection. Perhaps at extra cost they could add another model, say Primal 2 Deluxe or Primal 2 Extra. That Deluxe or Primal 2 Extra would add the 4E size but also retain a 2E size as the current model. When the insole was removed it would not expose the stitching on the bottom, as do other shoes. If that is too hard to fix they could include a very thin insole with the LEMS name and this would make for a much better platform for bare feet or very thin socks. I would also add a single thicker insole which 4E size would easily accommodate so if someone felt like something with a bit of cushion then the thick insole would deliver. If they did this I would buy a Pair of 4E with thick insoles used all the time in a shoe I might only wear every two or three days.
But as the Primal 2 stands I can say no more than the fact two days after my order for Olive Primal 2 arrived I ordered another pair in Black.

Pretty good so far. One shoe is a little looser around the heel than the other. Perhaps my shoes have been held in place by my squashed up toes? Looking forward to seeing how they go over the next year. Overall quite happy.

My Physiotherapist recommended those shoes. It really improved my feet situation a lot. I followed my physiotherapist’s instruction to wear them 5 mins to walk as start till wear them for the long walk. The feet and muscles need time to adjust to put in the right way if you wore pointed and elevated shoes before. The sizing guide really helps.

For those new to minimalist shoes and who haven't spent much time in bare feet, I suggest starting with a semi-minimalist shoe like Altras and then moving. I am transitioning from a mid-cushion Altra to Lems, and am able to wear my Lems more and more (half the time right now). I have no doubt that they will become my default shoe within a few months.

I used their online shoe size guide by taking a photo and went with the size recommendation and its a perfect fit. Its a tad bit narrow at the heel but once youve broken the shoe in, its all good.
I use these shoes for everything, walking/running/sprinting, jumping, hiking and gym training as well as work.

I love these shoes so much I have two pairs. They fit perfectly and are sturdy but let you feel the ground. The only thing for me is I always have to change the laces to elastic ones so I can just pull them on. They are the best. Just get some.

After having a lot of toe box issues from substandard shoes over the years these shoes are my saving Grace.
The toe box is so roomy and the zero drop means that I can get back to building strength in my foot and leg muscles. I’ve been wearing them walking and at the gym.
Walking, the tread gets worn down quite quickly but great from general gym wear. Really happy with them overall.

The black primal 2 are a very comfy zero drop, wide toe box shoe. They look great. There is good ventilation but I've noticed they let cold air in on chilly days. Nice quality. I'd buy again.

I have hypermobile ankles, collapsed arches, planar facitis, shin splints and anterior compartment syndrome, and my podiatrist recomended wearing these a little every day and they have been a game changer in my overall rehabilitation. I have been wearing my Lems Primal 2 for a couple of weeks now. I am very happy with these shoes. My toes are free to move, and my feet feel more stable and grounded, and less restricted than in traditional running shoes. They are comfortable, and they look good on my feet.
I have been wearing these shoes on long walks - the longest being 20kms. Before Lems, I was wearing 'normal' Nike running shoes, and I would develop blisters within the first 2-3kms. With Lems, I have had NO blisters whatsoever, which is a first for me!
With Lems, after about 15kms walking, I have experienced some pain on the bottom of my feet. But, I think this might be me getting used to wearing thinner soled shoes. I plan to invest in some gel insoles to see if it improves things, at least until I am more used to the Lems.
These shoes work best when I am wearing the Injinji toe socks - in 'normal' socks, my feet slide around, and my toes curl under. I actually thought my Lems were too small at first, as the 'normal' socks make my toes hit the end of the shoe when walking. With the Injinji toe socks, this doesn't happen. I would say that if you aren't getting on with the Lems, or you are still experiencing toe cramping, etc, try them with the toe socks as well, as the difference is very noticeable.
Finally, the team at bPrimal were really helpful, and gave excellent advice on my choosing the right size of shoe, and my shoes were Express delivered the next day. I would definitely recommend bPrimal as an excellent online shopping experience.
